Toledo Water stoppage, , page 1

For those haven't heard Toledo, Ohio has a water crisis where a Harmful Algae Bloom has caused a no drink and no boil order.
I live about 40 miles south of Toledo and I am originally from there and have family still living there.

I have had a number of people tell me that this problem actually been known for at least month before. I have also been told that the reason why it is so bad is that someone last night added not only the wrong chemical to treat the problem but also added double the amount of it. This caused it to go from bad to worse actually increasing the poisons in the water supply.

My father has now said the national guard has taken over a school where he lives. Which fine if they are handing out water and providing support but he tells me they are stopping and checking cars that pass through the area. Doesn't seem to me that there is any reason for vehicle searches perhaps I missed when Military was granted police powers within the United States.
