Barack Obama jumped to the defence of his CIA director John Brennan who is facing mounting political pressure after admitting this week that the agency spied on computers being used by the Senate intelligence committee to write a report on its use of torture.
With Mr Brennan facing an avalanche of criticism from leading members of Congress and at least two open calls for his resignation, Mr Obama said on Friday that he had “full confidence” in the head of the CIA.

Isn't that amazing?!

CIA’s mission is to collect information related to foreign intelligence and foreign counterintelligence. By law, the CIA is specifically prohibited from collecting intelligence concerning the domestic activities of U.S. citizens. By direction of the President in Executive Order 12333, as amended, and in accordance with procedures approved by the Attorney General, the CIA is restricted in the collection of intelligence information directed against U.S. citizens. Collection is allowed only for an authorized intelligence purpose; for example, if there is a reason to believe that an individual is involved in espionage or international terrorist activities. The CIA’s procedures require senior approval for any such collection that is allowed, and, depending on the collection technique employed, the sanction of the Director of National Intelligence and Attorney General may be required. These restrictions on the CIA, or similar ones, have been in effect since the 1970s.

Amazing, simply effin' amazing! Now be aware, it does not matter if this was Obama or Bush, Democrat or Republican, the situation would have remained the same. The US president defends the actions of the CIA spying on American officials investigating the CIA...

Good news though, the director who originally lied about the spying is making sure the "few" CIA agents who were spying and intimidating the US officials would be disciplined....

That's game ladies and gentlemen, it only gets worse from here unless we elect someone who isn't bought and paid for by these monsters.

And who might that be ? Anyone that isn't bought and paid for doesn't stand a chance. Do you honestly think the CIA isn't heavily involved in elections with the corporate oligarchy and the military industrial complex.

Elections are just the fantasies that are designed to make the taxpayers actually think have an impact.

If voting really mattered; it would be illegal!

How do you and I cut budgets that the criminals vote for themselves? Stop paying taxes? yeah right.....

Do you actually think that the govt. criminals are going to impeach one of their own? That's just GOP pandering to their base and the faithful never question their leaders; they just clap their hands and drool all over themselves.

The political system has changed so drastically but few even realize it. The citizens aren't represented by anyone even down at the most local level. Corporate business gets all the attention because they have the leverage in the form of money, jobs, gifts, drugs, whores, and anything else the politicians want. Corruption in govt. is the operating system and don't think the corps won't stoop to threats and violence to keep their political bitches in line. Might as well get used to it!!

Cough, gag, are you kidding me? For a president who defends a government agency that clearly undermined the constitution shows that our government neither supports nor defends the constitution of the United States. Doesn't the president and congress take an oath to defend it? I ask you, what's wrong with this picture?

(A private citizen such as Edward Snowden defends our constitution and it's considered treason by this same president that doesn't defend it!) Where is the public outrage!

This incident shows how utterly corrupt the federal government has become.

Not only does POTUS refuse to prosecute those who tortured and ordered torture, now he defends those who lie deliberately.

Surely the end of the Grand American Experiment.

He doesn't see a problem with his spies peeking into the lives of Americans working for Congress? That is interesting.

Anyone believe he would have felt the same while he was a Senator himself? His head is getting mighty big here lately.
