Never said it couldn't happen now did I?
Of course that article would go with a such a statement though, more fear mongering, even mentioning marshal (sic) law!

"(b) Severe acute respiratory syndromes, which are diseases that are associated with fever and signs and symptoms of pneumonia or other respiratory illness, are capable of being transmitted from person to person, and that either are causing, or have the potential to cause, a pandemic, or, upon infection, are highly likely to cause mortality or serious morbidity if not properly controlled. This subsection does not apply to influenza."

Stop fear mongering please.
The amendment hardly changed anything, stop making out that what you call detaining people is new, it's not.
Compare what was actually changed..
Old:
(b) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), which is a disease associated with fever and signs and symptoms of pneumonia or other respiratory illness, is transmitted from person to person predominantly by the aerosolized or droplet route, and, if spread in the population, would have severe public health consequences.

Hmm, I would not agree that 'we deserve what's coming to us', and would also ask who is this 'us' you speak of?
Stupid people?
Unproductive people?
Media brainwashed materialistic consumers?
ATS members?
I would never think the spread of a virus that kills many people is a good thing, but equally, I do not share the panic and fear seen in some of the other threads about it, especially the US focused topics. I prefer to deal with whatever happens with a calm mind...fear has never helped me in any crisis I've been through, even when genuinely believing I was about to die.

Which ports, all of them, or just flights from West Africa?
All sea and airports being closed will of course cause pretty much instant economic collapse for the UK. I don't really fancy that to be honest.
