I just wanted to take a minute on another topic. I'm a '97 graduate of the United States Military Academy that at one point in my early career ran
a fowl of an LTC on a vengeance tour. As we all know, an LTC against a younger officer will win every time. Because of the false allegations the LTC
was throwing around and his rank, i was pretty much black listed by my peers that had known me for years, just by his words alone.
It wasn't till eight years later that the individual at the heart of the problem was arrested for charges of conducting the largest bribery scandal
in DOD history did my peers finally reach out and reconnect. It took a major event to set the records straight. Those that have not worn a uniform
can not fathom the bond of brethren and that trust is all we have, if it is breached, it is insanely difficult to recover.
The average man will fight to have his good name restored or they will skulk under a rock until it passes over. However, the military takes honor as
the ultimate value of a man's soul...You lack honor, you lack soul, and you are no longer a member of the line.
This all being said, I do not know enough about the suit, nor does my opinion matter. However, I will say this, there are two parties that know the
truth. If the event never occurred, I would have fought to have my name restored....money be damned. If it did occur, then maybe it wasn't
justified........Regardless, Mr. Ventura, I'm sorry for throwing this in here, but I had to throw a bit of support. I've followed you for a long
time, and never experienced you giving one single statement against our soldiers and sailors.....the policies they follow, damn yes, but not towards
them.
For that reason, i'm leaning towards your side and will remain there. Go Army, Beat Navy....(sorry)
