Baloney. The UN represents an attempt at peace. It is countries like Russia, Israel, and the US that give their middle finger to the UN and the very Charter we all signed. The first step in negotiating a truce is for the elected governing body of Gaza to denounce violence and terrorism (rather than promote it), and recognize Israel's right to exist, as Fatah has in the West Bank. Once that is accomplished, then a two state solution can be a viable proposition.

Um, the United States and Israel, alongside all of the rest, signed the UN Charter. Meaning, representatives and diplomats from every country. That means "we." Do you deny history?

Both the US and Israel, as signatories to the Charter and many other international agreements, are beholden to the restrictions. That includes respecting UN resolutions, which include ones that have brought to task Israel for its treatment of Palestinians.
