Zayn Malik of One Direction tweeted #freepalestine to his 13 million twitter followers and outrage and death threats ensued.

Rihanna and basketball player Dwight Howard — quickly took down their "#FreePalestine" tweets.

Malik seems to be made of tougher stuff and has kept his up despite the backlash.

Finally a celebrity with balls and a backbone, brave enough to speak out honesty. Well done Mr. Malik, well done.

Most don't though and that's the point. The backlash for celebrities speaking out about Israeli action in Gaza is so intense that most celebrities won't speak their minds and if they do, they quickly take back and apologize for what they say.
