What if a mixed-race woman was looking for a donor?

Sorry, we don't "serve" your kind?

Hmm very good point. Maybe they can choose?

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Canada has the homosexual marriage, legalized bestiality, free street drugs and paraphernalia and socialized medicine. It's a lawless society with little in the way of police and almost as big an influx of illegal immigration as the United States has.

The thing is that Canada has many different racial fiefdoms- English/caucasian, French caucasian, Chinese, Eskimo, all concentrated into different geographic areas. Their bureaucratic socialist government has probably deemed this "racial purity" what's best for society.

Sickening. So is their beer.

All I can do is laugh... This would make a good comedy sketch.

Happy to live in this lawless, depraved, cop forsaken country!

I can't help but agree with this.

While I think it is a stupid policy they appear to be a private business and I think they should be allowed to have stupid rules if they want. I mean we should not force businesses to offer services that they do not wish to, should we?

EDIT: If they were a publicly funded or government funded health institute I would strongly disagree, but it's difficult for me to get mad at a private practice.

I have no idea how accurate this is and it's anecdotal. Just banging it out for the sake of what seems to no longer be a discussion.

There was a professor that taught one of my classes (I want to say human anatomy, it was something along those lines, I want to say I had to dissect a cat - don't look at the avatar). So something about bi racial children came up and I asked if people who were bi-racial were less prone to disease and other maladies.

I was informed it was actually the opposite. Professor was white and his wife was Asian and it worried him when they had children. I'm a little too involved with something else currently, but the brief Googling I did does NOT support this. It's been some time since I was in school so perhaps the consensus has changed.

One argument could be made that it's difficult for a mixed race child growing up, but there was a recent (?) Time magazine article that discussed this and it seems that is a bit of a relic from the past. There are strong role models now who are mixed and being mixed is no longer stigmatized (and never should have been) as greatly.

I sort of instantly recoil at the thought of someone saying mixed race is bad, but I do recall there being some actual reasons (devoid of racist sentiment) that confirmed this. I want to say it was along the lines of yeah, you get all the good but you also get all the bad and the bad is badder than the good is gooder (I hope you all didn't get confused with that super technical breakdown and all the big words I just used).

I wouldn't know a "mixed race" person if they walked up and kicked me in the teeth.

Can't say that I ever recall walking up to some stranger on the street and proclaiming: "Holy crap ! You're one third Italian, one third Icelandic, and one third Serbian !"

[insert roll eyes here]

Aren't we all the same "race" anyways ?

You know... the fricken "human race"...

Meh.

It would've been funny, but the poster forgot to mention our most important heathenistic heresy that we commit up here.... and a very much beloved time-honoured tradition, as you well know:

That fact that we send our senior citizens out onto the Arctic iceflows to die the minute they hit the age of 65 so that we can save taxpayer money on our socialist Canada Pension Plan system.

But you have to admit, it is a beautiful fare-thee-well send off that we give them... What, with all those lovely fireworks, the maple syrup donuts, and their free package of Depends Undergarments to tide them over until the polar bears eat them.

This is bananas. The clinic's top priority is to be sure the mother/couple are healthy and comfortable instead it seems they're very concerned about preventing the mixing different racial backgrounds. Wake up people, this is the 21st century where guess what...the world consists of ALL COLORS. Don't like it? Then either travel back in time to when Europeans dominated, controlled, raped, put down, killed, and extinguished other cultures because they were deemed "unfit, savage, and whatever other ludicrous excuse. Wtf man...it's like we're reverting back to the "those days"

One possible innocent explanation is they may be trying to spare the child the problems associated with being biracial. There are still many people out there who do not accept 21st century living.
