What's Mycroft Holmes doing there with Goebbels?

And Eddie Marsan standing directly behind Goebbels.

Oh...I'm thinking Mycroft, which means the British Government is somehow involved!!

Just to get back on topic, the colourising may affect the integrity of the original images, but...they sure humanise them on the other hand.

Some in those photos would need more than just color to be "humanised"

But you right... it sure does the job very well.

True.

Also, the look of Lee Harvey Oswald and Joseph Goebbels are very telling.

There a bit of reasoning to the Life Magazine Photo of Joseph Goebbels

one of his many propaganda Seminars aka anti Jew mostly

The moment as it was taken he found out the Photographer is Jewish

Thanks for these. They've made my day.

The Walt Whitman one is more alive than any monochrome photo I've seen of him.

I like this because even though we look at the B&W as artistic this is how they saw the world then so why not get a different perspective on things. I think I sometimes forget that everything wasn't so drab and dull during those times. I think we only feel B&W as artistic because we have the between the 2.

What's really interesting about this is that we have come to regard pictures of Hitler as almost a caricature of evil...helped not in the least by Charlie Chaplin and his 'Great Dictator'. This guy looks pretty normal. Cold, but normal. Who'd know?
Thanks much.
