But, from your source,

But his two-page letter is filled with false charges—there's no evidence that migrants carry Ebola or that they're less likely to be vaccinated—from an inconvenient messenger: The congressman has himself pushed legislation to discourage some kinds of mandatory vaccinations in the United States.

According to the World Health Organization, Ebola virus has only ever affected humans in sub-Saharan Africa. (It has been found in China and the Philippines, but has never caused an illness, let alone a fatality.) Central America is far away from sub-Saharan Africa:

These third world kids are probably healthier and more robust in general due to their exposure to germs, animals, parasites etc. vaccines have nothing to do with it. Unless they are coming here with TB or Ebola who cares? In disease outbreaks vaccinated kids always make up a majority of the sick.

Yep. There is no evidence that these young refugees are carrying any particularly bad virus or disease. It's all done to whip the Base into a fury.

About 50 demonstrators, two armed with semi-automatic rifles, carried American and tea party flags as they marched one mile, from city hall to a social services facility that would shelter the young undocumented immigrants.

I have been working on medical projects in Central and South America since 2009, so I am aware of problems these countries face from such diseases.

A public health crisis, the likes of which I have not seen in my lifetime, is looming. Hardest hit by exposures to these difficult-to-treat diseases will be elderly, children, immunosuppressed cancer-patients, patients with chronic lung disease or congestive heart failure. Drug-resistant tuberculosis is the most serious risk, but even diseases like measles can cause severe complications and death in older or immunocompromised patients.

But then I suppose this is a lay person who knows nothing as well?

Deadly Diseases Crossing Border With Illegal Immigrants

So, is she a sole voice on this topic a lot why we should be concerned with XDRTB from South America?

Slide 10: Timebomb

MDR TB is a manmade problem…..It is costly, deadly, debilitating, and the biggest threat to our current TB control strategies.

Slide 13: 2006 Global Distribution of MDR TB among New Cases

Source: Zignol, Dye et al, JID 2006:194

This 2006 map shows the global distribution of MDR TB among new cases.

Most of the map is dark green, indicating less than 3% of TB incident cases are MDR TB. This includes North America, Europe, Australia, and most of Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America.

The light green areas indicate the 3-6% of TB incident cases are MDR TB. This includes China, the most populous country in the world, as well as Iran, Mozambique, Cte d’Ivoire, Ecuador, and Peru.

The yellow countries have the highest rates of MDR TB of over 6%. This includes the Russian Federation and countries of the former Soviet Union.

Former Soviet Union and Eastern Block Countries with the highest rates. Some countries record >14% prevalence of MDR TB (e.g., Estonia 17.4%, Azerbaijan 14.6%, Kazakhstan 14.6%)

Of course, you'll be able to find physicians on both sides of the political issue. The fact that this is a political issue and NOT a humanitarian issue is what is so sad.

Here, she rails about the Democrat's "war on women" and feminists... Doctors participate in politics, too. Source

There are diseases that the US has eradicated. Yet such a program does not exist in a lot of the Central and Latin American countries. Many contagious diseases are carefully kept under control. And a few have no cure, no means of curing, and the US is starting to see a rise in said diseases that are starting to show up.

While yes there is a vaccination program in both countries in question, the issue here is the risk of such. Are you willing to risk your health, or the health of your family on the unknown? And mind you that with countries, often there are diseases that are never seen in either country that could be fatal in some instances or debilitating.

For example, malaria is not a disease that one would find in the USA. However in Guatemala, then it could pose a significant health risk to the people of the USA, especially the southern states. All it would take is one mosquito to bite a carrier and now you have the makings of a new epidemic that could spread.

And then there is chickenpox. While most in the USA are not going to die from such, but a child from Latin America, could catch said disease and end up dying from it. So this is going to be a sticky situation on both sides of this issue, as it is not what they bring in, but what they could catch that could be an issue.

And if the reports are true, about one of the children having say TB, then all those who are with said child, could now be infected. Do we really need another epidemic breaking out in the country? This, combined with the fact that these children did break the law, and who is going to pay and care for them.

Funny that you mention TB as that is touched on in the article. You do know it is reatable right? When we were in SW Asia one of my platoon was positive for exposure to TB and you know what they did? gave her a bottle of pills and said have a nice day you will be fine. they didnt quarentine her they did check us all regularly for exposure after that though epidemic averted. And as I have already stated illegal is illegal and they need to go but that doesnt mean they are disease ridden vermin that need to be wiped from the face of the earth. As for risking my family to the unknown dont i do that everytime i put my kids in the car? Also is why I have insurance and get myself and my children vaccinated. I have personally had more shots in the arm due to leaving the country than i can count. dont try your scare tactics on me.

Yes we need to stop them from coming, Yes we need to send the ones home that did come illegaly. And Yes they are human beings and deserve the same rights that we do as human beings.

There are several things, like most of the more interesting diseases that you should be aware of.

With TB yes, it is curable, however, it is highly contagious, and it requires at least 6 months worth of treatments. Like all diseases that affect the respetory system, those who would be at most risk, would be those who have weakened immune systems, and lung problems already, then it can be fatal. And if the person does not complete the treatment, it moves to another category, and so on, till it is highly contagious and ultimately can not be treated.

While it is a rare case that shows up every now and then, it is something to be very cautious of, and as I stated, it would be a double edge sword, as they would bring diseases into the country, and infect the local population and vice versa, they would be exposed to diseases that they themselves are not immune to and could be lethal on them.

And without a very through health screening and isolation and proper medical treatment and enforcement of medicines, it could be a diseaster in the making.

If you are worried about the children coming to your community

Here is a link to a map of where they are going so far.
www.numbersusa.com...

An article from a public health source:
" Mass immigration to this country has a deleterious impact on our nation’s medical system and the well being of our citizens. This is reflected in a report entitled Illegal Aliens Threaten U.S. Medical System by Madeleine Pelner Cosman, MD, published in the spring, 2005 edition of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.

“The influx of illegal aliens has serious hidden medical consequences,” writes Madeleine Pelner Cosman, “We judge reality primarily by what we see. But what we do not see can be more dangerous, more expensive, and more deadly than what is seen.” Her report further states, “many illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American medicine fought and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease.”

Many illegals entering this country have tuberculosis, according to the report. “That disease had largely disappeared from America, thanks to excellent hygiene and powerful modern drugs such as isoniazid and rifampin,” says the report. “TB’s swift, deadly return now is lethal for about 60 percent of those infected because of new Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis. Until recently MDR-TB was endemic to Mexico. This Mycobacterium tuberculosis is resistant to at least two major anti-tubercular drugs. Ordinary TB usually is cured in six months with four drugs that cost about $2,000. MIDR-TB takes 24 months with many expensive drugs that cost around $250,000 with toxic side effects.
According to the report, other health threats from illegals include:
· Chagas disease, also called American trypanosomiasis or “kissing bug disease,” is transmitted by the reduviid bug, which prefers to bite the lips and face. The protozoan parasite that it carries, Trypanosoma cruzi, infects 18 million people annually in Latin America and causes 50,000 deaths. Chagas affects blood transfusions and transplanted organs. No cure exists. Hundreds of blood recipients may be silently infected.
· Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, was so rare in America that in 40 years only 900 people were afflicted. Suddenly, in the past three years America has more than 7,000 cases of leprosy. Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states because illegal aliens and other immigrants brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean and Mexico.
· Dengue fever is exceptionally rare in America, though common in Ecuador, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Mexico. Recently, according to the report, there was a virulent outbreak of dengue fever in Webb County, Texas, which borders Mexico. Though dengue is usually not a fatal disease, dengue hemorrhagic fever routinely kills.
· Polio was eradicated from America, but now reappears in illegal immigrants, as do intestinal parasites, says the report.
· Malaria was obliterated, but now is re-emerging in Texas. "

Here is a solution to all your fear, Kill everything that crosses the border and burn the bodies, that will keep us from getting sick.

You know honestly i would rather spend 100 billion dollars helping sick people and curing disease on our continent than spending 6 trillion killing people on other continents.

and who is talking about amnesty? i have said multiple times the border needs to be secure and they need to go. The whole point of this was to talk about the lies about how the illegals will kill everyone in the US. Just because i think they are playing on peoples fear doesnt mean i want them to stay here. There are plenty of reasons for them to be gone, mainly they are ILLEGAL, but there is no need to saw your kids are going to die a terrible death because they are here.

Most kids won't but we have tons of kids all across the USA with cancer and compromised immune systems. We shouldn't put a single one of our children in danger. We have plenty of people with diabetes and other diseases with compromised immune systems and elderly too. We should not put any of these people in danger and risk their lives.

and any of the diseases already present in the US could do the same thing. the risks are already there they arent safe once they are gone. Thats all i am tryig to get at, diseases are here already and ones that are untreatable are here already (rabies anyone?). The fact that you blame all of it on illegals is ignorant, how many international travelers come in and out of the US daily? any one of those could have something. any shipment of goods from another country could have them. There is a reason transportation hubs always see the highest rates of illness (sea ports, air ports, train stations, bus depots). I bet the rates of disease in homeless people is worse than you know. minor illness strains even vary from state to state.

Lets just keep blaming our problems on the illegals. Once they are all gone and the sickness is still here then what? who will we blame then? probably the homeless, and once there gone then the poor... eventually it will be you causing others to die with your nasty germs hope your happy when they drag you away, remember "its for the children"...
