Republicans supressed the Libertarians out of sheer political survival.....the more they supressed them, through a complicit corporate media, their personal toadys, the more they cried wolf about Ralph Nader being "blocked" by Democrats. They managed, through their media ownership, to not only cover the vote tampering of two elections in a row by Team Rove, but to also keep a 50 state ballot choice ( Badnarik) from getting any press face time.....even when the putz got arrested.
