I'm going to say I used to be the guy who said "I've done nothing wrong so what do I care." To an extent I still feel it but here is a little tidbit about me

Out of all the ATS people I've met, I am one who can solidly claim to be monitored. Now hold your horses back please...this is NOT going to turn into one of those stories whereI claim the black vehicles follow me...no I am fully aware and accepted that I am listened to and followed when need be

I am a former 2W2 from Minot AFB, ND and have been discharged (honorably) and as part of some issues that took place, I had to agree to allowing myself to be monitored whenever they want

Now I don't believe they listen to everything or watch everything. In fact they probably gave up ages ago because I am boring...ok SOME of my google searches are dirty lol...but then it hit me

Although I do nothing illegal it has slowly started to bother me knowing that someone could be watching me right now. Not because I am afraid that they'll catch me. I don't look at child porn, I don't buy drugs online and I don't order hits on people. I don't go to the deep web. Ok great

But it's grown to bother me over time that someone is on my shoulder at any point. I wouldn't necessarily want my partner to hover over me and watch my social media...so yeah it is starting to bother me now

But I don't have the ability to lock myself down save for shutting all services off so I don't know what to do

Hey KyoZero,

thanks for relating that info about yourself. I certainly wouldn't want to invade your privacy, but I must say I am curious about the issues that resulted in your honorable discharge, and why monitoring you 24/7 is necessary pertaining to the the issues you alluded to. Although I do respect your freedom not to go further into that, if you aren't comfortable doing so.

Honestly, when you say there are social media aspects you wouldn't want your partner to see, I would have to observe that maybe it's time to contemplate what that says about your social media activity, AND your relationship with your partner. I am reminded of the JFK speech about the repugnancy of secrets in a free and open society.

For me, it all started during an awareness shift I had. I was reminded that the system uses technology well in advance of what the public is allowed to access. There are programs out there now that allow an admin of some kind, to watch/track in real time, the movements made on another computer. And I thought, if I were a "person~of~interest" to the system, they would most certainly be using a similar kind of real~time program to see what I was up to, and more than likely recording it, as you would a program on tv. Interests, word selection, response times, etc.

So, they know what i'm looking at, they know who I talk to, they know all my family members, they know my favorite movies and music and books, and most importantly they know, I was one of the resisters. Many mistakes I have made when it came to testing the limits/extremes of what I could and couldn't say online, no doubt garnered the attention of a system cubicle dweller. I was an 'enemy of the state' so to speak.

I also realized that the [force], governing everything in the perceivable, and non-perceivable universe, has my back if i'm with it. ie. I get what I deserve/ask for/don't take precautions against. So does everybody else.

I don't have the ability to lock myself down either, I don't think there are many that can. I did the next best thing tho. I stopped caring about them watching me [the awareness shift]. I surrendered to the [force] and realized that if I was doing something that was a legitimate threat to society OR the system, the [force], working through the system, would deal with me accordingly. Armed with this awareness, I got through those initial embarrasing situations(ie the dirty searches lol) and have now become accustomed to the pronouncement, "Good, I hope those slimy twinkle-toed...are watching me. I hope they find something interesting. I welcome the chance to be martyred by their oppression". The fact remains, I don't do anything that will require their close scrutiny, in spite of my best efforts, short of breaking the law. I too, am pretty much boring. I suspect we aren't alone among the people populating this board.

I should absolutely rephrase myself. I take 100% of the blame for not making myself clear on that

I mean that, my partner can see whatever she wants, I would just prefer not being hovered over is all. I hide nothing from her at all but I sure made it sound that way so bad on me

What I was really getting across is that I don't think anyone likes people just watching over their shoulder 100% of the time...it's too much for me and I would likewise not do the same to her

The government included. No I don't engage in illegal activity online...or well anywhere...ok maybe I go over the speed limit...

But yeah I admit it bothers me some times to think these people can just pick and watch me whenever they choose. I guess I am just saying that I would hate to be judged by some alphabet agency because I said something

I mean I wouldn't be writing some assassination plot, but I am a Socialist and I know how some people think it is subversive behavior and I'd hate to be judged unfairly

As far as your first paragraph, I was privvy to some knowledge that is classified. I promise you it isn't as big as it sounds and I am nobody important. I was a 2W271, Nuclear Weapons Specialist and some incidents took place and now I get to harbor what I know.

Honestly though if you want my real opinion...they probably haven't looked at me in years and for all I know they never will

I thank you for the deep respect conveyed in your response. May I ask though...does it not bother you to be watched even though you are probably innocent?

It won't bother me if you say no, I am just aiming to add to the conversation

Respectfully,

Kyo

I just want to preface this with an apology for the length of this post.

I understand what you mean about being hovered over, i'm sketchy around other people any way so I definitely wouldn't want a physical presence on me all the time, no way. Thanks for clarifying that. I went back and read it again and saw there that you mentioned hovering, which I missed first time around, so, my bad!

The game of attaining/losing freedom. I believe, that there's nothing we can do to prevent them from flipping a switch whenever they want, and have all your information on the one hand, and real~time tracking/monitoring capability on the other. That technology exists, and all I mean to suggest, is that I think anyone who thinks they can protect themselves from that, is setting themselves up for disappointment/frustration.

Take precautions from the lower level hacking type individuals/viruses who won't be able to steal your info/harm your machine, but at the very least, assume the [governing system] has all these powers, and will use it against you, lawfully or unlawfully, if they so choose. All that happens is you change the way you [put yourself] out there.

Afraid your info is going to get hacked/stolen/databased from your computer/phone/plastics? Don't put that info on your computer/phone. Simple! Do you know what I mean? Find another method of applying, storing and retrieving that info when it is needed. That cuts off a massive potential concerning the clever hax. As for the sophisticated hax, ie the ones who are employed to know the esoteric aspects, you'll never be able to safeguard your information when it comes to these people and their motivations. If that's the case, you have to ask yourself what you're so afraid they'll find out, that you'll lose sleep and/or energy over it, considering the [force], or whatever you want to call IT, and it's watchful eye.

Even if all the people stopped working and consuming for a huge take-our-privacy-back sit in, and the system took heed, you can't trust them when they say they'll stop spying on us. How will you know they're telling the truth, and will stop? Is there any way you can monitor your information being monitored so you know who is doing the monitoring?

They lie about everything. EVERYTHING. If they aren't trustworthy for anything, which is the common bond between alot of us, the awareness that this is the case, then how can you trust them, as they are liars, to stop using the technology we all know they are using? There are methods to re-order perceptions for all manner of fears, so I have absolutely no problem with being watched, and at that, especially because i'm innocent. If i'm innocent, why would they need to 'hover' (metaphorically speaking)? I have secrets to be sure, but I don't store them on digital hardware for multi-media use.

There's a [higher force/power] sitting in judgement on all of us, so i'm not worried about terrestrial organizations at all. Like, at all.

Apologies again for the length of that reply, but I can't end it without enquiring about the 2W2 thing. I googled it but couldn't find any kind of explanation for what it meant. But a Nuclear Weapons Specialist! That's pretty impressive. So i'm assuming you are quite familiar with secrecy/oaths, eh? But right on, it is my privilege to converse with you!

I think you might have misunderstood me. I have no problem with laws because most laws don't apply to me. I agree tho, if someone is unhappy with a law, they know what to do, all the channels are in place.

And I do agree with, you do have those [rights], but you can't secure them for yourself when the corrupt are in charge.

Better to err on the side of caution, and what not.

Why are you so damn paranoid that you feel this need to know everything about me. What scares you so much that you feel the need to cover all your paranoid bases.

Why do you fear little old me...
