US Unveils Fear Campaign to Slow Mass Border Crossings

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has produced a video designed to "scare" immigrants and warn potential journeyers of the hazards involved in treks from Central America to the U.S.

The "commercials" will be shown in the U.S. and other countries on all media available.

I imagine they wouldn't go through this much trouble if they didn't expect the onslaught to continue?

Is there a "hidden" message?

HOUSTON, Texas--The federal government has launched a campaign targeted at Central Americans to deter the wave of illegal immigrants from making the trek north and crossing into the United States. Newly released television ads warn of the dangers that come with illegal immigration.

"Dramatic stories, made in the telenovella fashion" will be distributed both in the U.S. and Central America, according to ABC 13.

The commcerials feature a young migrant, saying goodbye to his mother and father before making the journey north. He finds himself embarking on a much more dangerous trip than he had bargained for.

So one side wont pass reform and the other wont enforce immigration... just so both sides do the others favor.

Soooo, is Pelosi still calling this an "opportunity" and not a crisis? Or will she need thousands more to cross over to find out if it is really a crisis?

Breitbart Texas recently reported on a Guatemalan mother who told an Associated Press reporter in her home that her son should have stayed in Guatemala. He was found dead this week near the Rio Grande River. Twelve illegal aliens were found dead in Brooks County in June near the small South Texas town of Falfurrias which is located about 80 miles from the Mexican border.

Illegals have been encouraged to come here and have been catered to for too many years. It may take some time for these ads to kick in.

If there are any residents of S.America who hadn't thought about coming to the US, these commercial will certainly give them something to think about.
Who doesn't like an adventure? And a challenge....they just need to prove that they are tougher, smarter and better prepared than those losers who succumbed to the dangers of sneak-entry.

Once they learn of all the financial benefits of entering the US- free medical, housing, education, food, etc.- it would be ludicrous to stay home! AND they send the majority of the money the earn in America to their homeland to support their families, which takes a good sized chunk of funds out of the American economy.

If they really want to deter immigrants from coming illegally they would:

1. fill up military transports with illegal immigrants immediately after they are processed

2. fly them back immediately to their home country and TELL not ask, the government of those countries that the military transports are coming and will be unloading

3. the world will be outraged

4. it will be all over the world news

5. incoming governments will be beside themselves and scream loudly to the world

6. THAT will get the message out louder and clearer than any commercial

Why doesn't the Obama administration realize they are bringing nearly incurable and some incurable contagious diseases with them? - And send them back ASAP with doctors to attend them on the trip and give them back to the country they came from to care for. Our border patrol agents are already testing positive for some of these diseases.

Well, in my little bubble of a mind;
I'm fairly certain that this has been on the books for who knows how long?

This is the biological hazard 'they've' been letting-on about?

Nice to play on the emotional aspect of failing to immunize, maliciously.

Had these kids been immunized, would they still risk life and limb?

People are acting like there are no laws addressing illegal immigration.

It's, um. . . illegal.

The administration wants to make it, "legal".

That's the "reform".

As for this ad campaign? This will stop illegal immigration the same way Budweiser commercials stop alcoholism by telling people to drink responsibly.

Youth, send us your children first.

The message is loud and clear in south and central America.... You can change America, but not reluctant, defiant and resistant Americans, but maybe you can replace them...

Obama better use his pen and phone before too many waken to the long term plans...

Solution. Ship every illegal to Cali. Let's give them as much opportunity as possible.

I like the idea of just instantly putting them on transport and dump them back in their old countries, and for those that do not tell where they are from, lots are doing this so they cant be sent back...means you will be dumped in the center of Mexico, as that is where you came through. Then the Mexican government will have to pitch in on stopping them from coming through their turf. I do not care one bit what the rest of the world says or thinks, they are already on the hate the US bandwagon anyways, so why cater to anyone. Fix our house and maybe that will inspire the rest of these countries to do some clean up as well.

They definitely should be pushing major scare tactics to stop this madness. Taking away the incentives is the first step to really fixing this though. Make it so you do not get 1 single bit of anything free being illegal. Next start process that makes becoming legal obtainable fairly easy for non criminal productive immigrants, then state if you are caught just one time being here illegally, you are put an a list and will NEVER be able to become legal in the US. With no schools, no wellfare, no housing, nothing at all available to them, the problem will solve itself.

But as this all makes way to much sense, its obvious TPTB do not want this and like it the way it is.

That is exactly what should be done and what should have been done many years ago. No jobs, no freebies, no incentive to come here illegally.
