PENTATONIX!!!!

This is Pentatonix and dang they are talented!!!! Pentatonix is a cappella group of five vocalists who got their start on the third season of The Sing-Off were they won the competition.

I found the group because of this song:


I liked the song so much I decided to do some more digging and have only fallen more in love with this band. This is talent & how music should be today, not auto-tune Ke$ha or terrible artists like Tove Lo glorifying staying high to forget a guy or Carla Del Rey glorifying death & "Let’s go get high".

Love 'em! Many of the songs they do, I don't care for the original version, but love the way they do it.

Agreed, I love their version of 'Love Lockdown' that is a Kayne fish dicks West song :p Hold up, I'ma let you finish in a minute, but Pentatonix is the best band :p

I think there is no doubt that these guys have talent, and they surely are great performers… But on a musical criticism I find them kind of bland… I mean a cappella groups can only do so much and the fact that most of what they do are just vocal versions of songs that already exist kinda makes me not care for them so much. Even bands like Pomplamoose or Nouvelle Vague take songs and severely alter the genre and play style to make covers interesting and fresh.

I would like to see their obvious vocal talent be put to use to something more creationism and more original personally. I think they are really just playing on mainstream sounds to get where they want to in their bank accounts.

I really like them. It's obvious they are talented, but I would be interested to hear some original stuff from them too. I found them through radioactive. Love that song.

I was compelled to log in to comment, even though this is not normally the type of thread I read.... Little Drummer Boy got me hooked on the group.... Well worth the watch even if it is preceeded by a 30 second Geico commercial....

If anyone has the time, the song with Lindsey Stirling is a great display of young talent that you can actually understand the words and respect the effort......

Their two albums they have released have both original work & covers of other songs. Their original songs are good, check them out if you want.

They were also on an episode of Sesame Street :p

Lindsey Stirling is super talented too. I love the version of "All of Me" by John Legend she did with him, it makes the song so much better to have a beautiful violin. Her music videos are cool because she dances while playing, now that's talent.
