Does Watching MSNBC Make You Ignorant and Bigoted?

Oh look a thread pops up because fox fans feel insulted by behing told that fox news is an entertainment program not news.

Color me surprised.

I didint even think msnbc was a real channell always thought it was a replacements for the late night fire log channel.

I agree...People watch Fox and MSNBC to affirm their worldview...it just "feels" so good to be right about everything you believe!!

Also...Fox and MSNBC and similar "News" outlets do not stroke people's worldview out of any ideological drive. It's PROFITS.

If they can hook, grow and expand a predictable demographic, then the companies who run the commercials can target exactly who they want. They know precisely who watches Fox News and precisely who watches MSNBC.

Ever notice the different advertisers? Precision Demographic Targeting...Buy Gold NOW! ...Cialis!! For men!

News is for profit these days...and profits require advertisers...and advertisers want Massive amounts of viewers of homogenous Demographic they can hook and sell to....SO Fox makes it's viewers feel good...and MSNBC makes their viewers feel good...and the news? Who cares about the news! Just keep watching the bobbling talking heads!

Hell, CNN pretty much threw in the towel this year and is trying to be the youtube/twitter...look at the cute cat video...BS station for the general idiot crowd who just wants to pretend they follow the news.
