Research Forum and Project REFORM 2.0

First, a huge "THANK YOU" again, to each and every one of those people who have spent the time to contribute to this wonderful forum. Your time spent was not in vain, and will be acknowledged.
This has been in the works for some time now. The need for "continuous" progress from collaborative means, between members of the team, within a project requires dedication of time.
All aspiring scholars must now submit an "estimated time allocation" based on weekly and or monthly contributions. This is a estimate of the time one feels they can contribute to research.
For the sake of clarity, everyone who has had the status of scholar, have had it removed. This applies to ALL volunteers of the current projects. Anyone who has the status currently has been approved after the decision for reform.
Everyone who was of scholar status, that wishes to continue research only needs to u2u me an estimate of time available, the same applies for all who are interested in becomeing "Scholars".

This has come about to maintain the original strictures for the Research Forum;

1- This is for posts related to researching your project. Because of the points bonus, we expect that every post will be related to furthering the goals of your research project.

2- Team leaders are responsible for the quality of their research team members. Please take some time to ensure that your team members are capable of contributing meaningful content to your project.

3- Once a research project is selected, team members picked, and project launched, we expect some contribution to the project at least every 48 hours. Research projects that slip under this pace may be subject to removal or team modifications.

4- At the conclusion of a research project, team leaders receive an additional 2,500 points bonus, regardless of the outcome of the project.

5- Repeated unproductive posts by a team member (simple chatter, or non-productive comments) may result in removal of that team member and possibly the removal of all points they gained while working on the project.


We want this to be a serious effort and a shining example of what dedicated groups of ATS members can accomplish when engaged in single-minded collaboration on important topics.

Also, EVERY project is open for volunteers who wish to contribute. It is my intentions to re-staff the current projects, then to approve of any newer proposals for research. This was not an easy choice for me to make, and has been delayed for over a year. Hopefully this plan will draw in fresh minds who feel they have the knowledge and time to keep these projects updated.
