I had a girlfriend that had to have surgery to remove a brain tumor. I sat by her side after the surgery until she woke up. She hated me with a
fury. She had hallucinated that I was teasing her and laughing at her. It took her a while to come around to the fact that it was a hallucination.
Morphine used to reduce pain after surgery can really make people laugh. lol I remember when I was recovering from surgery my son and wife came into
the room to see me. As they walked in I yelled and told them to "stop!, watch, your going to step on those sandwiches on the floor!" They looked
at me bewildered and gave me a blank stare and said what sandwiches? We all realized I was hallucinating and had a good laugh. lol
We had a relative who called us from his bedside telephone while in hospital - told us "the doctors have removed my brain and said I don't need it
any more". He was trying to say "drain".
