im not really aware of any evidence or facts that theres not a God, please, enlighten me.
and well, there is evidence for a God, such as the earth,
and these "documentaries" that say the earth is billions of years old are only theories anyway

I guess it kind of frustrates me to see people who equate scientific thinking with a refutation of God, as one of the above posters seems to.
Science does not seek to find an alternate explanation to God. It does not seek to prove that God doesn't exist. Science attempts to describe the physical universe in which we live, without making moral judgements about it. Science doesn't address the question of God's existence, because it's not something that science can touch, he is not quantifiable by human means, and so science ignores God.

Wow, bravo. No matter how many times I say it, nobody ever listens. Science doesnt even touch the subject of "God." Why is that so hard to understand? This should be a frickin sticky.

Personally, I don't think that the age of the earth has anything to do with whether or not YHWH, or any other gods exist.
The one has to do with science, the other with religion. One has to do with what's going on, and the other with why it's going on.
Put another way: Does it diminish God's glory in your eyes if the universe is billions of years old rather than thousands?
