Damn I couldnt but notice a slight, hmm, a bit of condescending tone to his speech at times. I couldnt sit through it. I herd someone mention it seems he gets off on protest, perhaps he was hoping for a bigger turn out. Not sure about the rest of ya, I'm looking forward for The Daily Show tonight. I'm sure they'll take a few shot at us, aah, but they take shots everyone, especially Bush. John Steward rocks.

From lukefj: I think the 10,000+ number likely came from the organized rally's in all of the major cities yesterday. As I understand it there were protests in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa, likely in Halifax, Edmonton/Calgary also.

actually, there were about 20,000 people

Edited. Sorry to all the canadians I made mad, It was just a joke, sorry.

I see you learned the hard way that most Canadians lack a sense of humor. That's why all their comedians come to the US to work.

Actually our comedians go to the states for $$ and because there is zero competition as Americans are about as funny as a wet noodle.

pictures from a blogger "Adventures in Canadian Protesting"

"No one had the heart to tell Joe that his swastika was backwards, or just how much his wife resembles the face on Mars."

I'm starting to wonder what country was spearheading the "protests"

everyone has their own "estimates" LOL...but I'll believe people that actually live in Ottawa and have witnessed real gatherings over the years

but I'll link you the most liberal, anti-Bush, anti-american paper in Canada

www.thestar.com.../Layout/Article_Type1&call_pageid=971358637177&c=Article&cid=1101855016308

and they're only claiming "more than 5,000"...and a whopping 500 in Halifax

I stand by my previous statement earlier in the thread, " Ottawa gets more people to a 67's game w/o all the free buses"

...oh yeah, even the far left's very own, Peter Mansbridge, had to admit on air "it was nowhere near 15,000"
