George Bush predicted exactly what would happen if we pulled troops from Iraq like Obama wanted.

So sad. All that loss of life and money. Now our kids will be paying for these mistakes for generations to come. Since corporations do not pay taxes, it will all be the working person's burden, combined with tax cuts to the rich and cuts to social services. You see, that is what this "small government" is really all about. The poor delusional republican really believes that philosophy. Their leaders know that trillions in war debt is coming, and they don't want to pay for it.

Or maybe he could have chosen not to invade Iraq in the first place and lie to congress, the UN, and the American people to do so? Why is it the republicans can say "HA! TOLD YOU SO!" when it's their war that caused this cluster# in the first place?

LOL.. As if all the democrats didn't in fact vote a "yay" for this? They did. And at least at that particular point in history, The then president actually obeyed the law and got congress to approve it. (Oh but he lied to do it right? I know that.)

But lets look at it now:
Now the sitting president just commits acts of treason and doesn't give a rats behind what congress says or if it is even legal, he says "I'm goin in with or without legality!

So who has ended up on the side of morality? Not anyone and they are making that happen with a real gusto still today. (And they need more money to continue)
(But it does point towards Obama being about one hundred times stupider) Not that I care which one of them is stupider.

What I do not understand is why his father knew better that to invade Iraq because he knew as did everybody else at CENTCOM and the Pentagon that it would lead to a complere and total mess. Yes of course a country that had deep divisions and was only held togeter by brutal oppression is going fall apart after occupation forces leave. So unless you want to leave forced in Iraq forever than we never should have invaded the damn place. I never understood how Bush Jr could be such a complete idiot when his father was such a smart guy on these issues.

In part a great observation. I am a Vietnam combat veteran. Got my CIB there. When I read that Bush was invading Iraq I had 2 questions that my buddies at the VFW could answer. 1) What is our specific mission and, 2) what is our exit strategy. We have done this many times before yet we keep on doing it.

The answer to you question why CENCOM and the Pentagon did it is simple. They are soldiers. The politicians control our foreign policy. You want change? Throw the weak ass politician out and instal true leaders, with experience hopefully. BTW, this includes Mr phone and pen, Hillary-gate, and anyone D or R that are not extremely qualified.

And yes that would apply to Bush

It's easy to say that he was right given what we're seeing, but how do you know it wasn't planned that way to begin with? I mean this whole ISIS # is just another Al-Quada type group and we #ing made Al-Quada more or less....given that's the case...ISIS could easily be more of the same which means it was planned that it would happen that way? Why would they do that? To change public opinion to support war obviously! That's why they had to pull out because no one was supporting the war and they've been having trouble keeping the war machine going since in part due to the continuation of public opinion. So they're trying to change the public's mind by going: "See look at this mess we made by leaving this war prematurely. You have have listened to your president"...but they're causing the war so it's all bull# anyway while also trying to reinvigorate the publics belief in our broken w party illusion of a political system. Don't you get it. They just want to do what they want, they want to go to war with who they want for the control of resources not beliefs or morals. Those don't matter to them. So they're going to try and guilt us into another conflict that we have no business being a part of and had no business getting involved in to begin with by using a new group of terrorists that they have had NO HAND in creating......if you believe that...well your welcome to but I'm going to deny ignorance on this one.

and today Cheney comes out and blamed Obama for the Iraqi mess, when he opens his mouth, fecal sewage matter spews forth....why does anyone even listen to republicans anymore....Cheney's stock in Haliburton and the other oil companies are making him a nice profit, while others get killed for it, he has no skin in the game, so he doesn't give a damn.

Wow. Bush shouldn't have led us there in the first place! We had no reason or cause to invade Iraq. Less even then to invade Iran and North Korea or anyone else. We just had no reason to except for oil and to appease our corporate overlords.

Jeesh!

We do need to get out of there. But any idiot with any common sense can see that Iraq was only held together by force and a ruthless dictator. Iraq as it is now, should be divided unless there is a strong regional leader who can unite it, not with force. Our American Imperialism caused this mess. Well, the current mess. Iraq will always devolve into civil war or regional conflicts as it's set up now. Unless we want it as our next state, we need to get out of there. We then need to perhaps protect Baghdad as we set that up and only if asked to...but uniting the country is not going to happen and it shouldn't happen.

Remember that the only reason we invaded Iraq was to line the pockets of Haliburton and Cheney and big Oil.

Name a time when any democrat has been able to say "Ha, I told you so."
