SC (D) sample ballot question about banning online gaming!

The only reason this is even a government issue is because it was the federal government and the states begging for intervention that pulled the racket from the blacks (lottery that the states now run) and the casino (the italian and irish racket). Had the government let numbers running stay within local communities where they ensured "fairness" (i.e. making sure that one of the many that used their numbers policy could be named winner) instead of demonizing the creators and subsequent partitioners, we now have the government becoming BIG GANGSTER.

Online gambling? Why would anyone want to play a game where you are guaranteed to lose more than win?

Also, was funny.. there was a major gambling site.. and several sites that would "rate" sites.. gave it the highest score. Turns out that company owned the rating sites. Go figure.. you can't trust it, and you are guaranteed to lose. Don't waste your money.

On line games make a Lot of money.
you can end up paying more that if you paid for the game.

a Lot of very good games are free.
second life. planetside 2.firefall. warface. world of tanks.
and many more.

you can play free. but that tales a lot of time.
so you end up paying a little for a up grade.
and the next ect ect.

I'm against online gambling (and as someone who once built an online casino for a project I could definitely profit from it). Gambling is a shady industry that lends itself towards huge debts, money laundering, and crime when not heavily regulated. When casinos are virtual the regulations become very difficult to enforce. We need to keep casinos to physical locations for that reason.

Online gambling is a racket and if you do not know this then I say let Darwinism do its thing.

The interesting part here is if lets say this passes and the term gaming is used we might even see a game like WoW illegal since there is trade of real money at times for in game items.

I'm not sure, I would agree with you if someone was forced to gamble on-line, but they do it with freewill, just like drugs etc.

It sure seems we want to make everyone a bubble boy for their own protection. My personal view is I can make sound decisions on my own and I do not need the Government to tell me what is good for me and what is not good for me.

I wouldn't gamble online. But, the government has no business telling anyone they can't.

Online gambling is already illegal in many parts of the world, including most US states if I recall correctly.

yes but seemingly just online gambling i have to assume because the state doesn't get a cut of the money, after all those same states have lotteries and scratch cards, which IS gambling, just the state makes money off it, wanna bet that if they got their cut from online gambling they would be all for it?

So summed up its just this:
We're not allowing children under 17 to buy video games that have sexual and or graphic violence in it.
However this does not affect people the ages of 17 and up from buying video games. As they are not affected at all
M Games being sold to children would require their parents approval and a 25 dollar fine
Though this does not affect adults they have to note that scientists and professors that study the subject are smarter than psychologists and they are being ignorant you don't see children in the UK being so violent and they play call of duty and a bunch of games like that. Furthermore these democrats seem extremely ignorant and they are stupid. Murder still happens kids or not.. I doubt this bill will be passed and I hope it doesn't though I agree children should not be playing games like GTA V. Or other games with sexual content.

It's not about protecting people really. But rather the other things casinos enable. By their nature casinos are the best business out there for money laundering. Allowing online casinos basically legalizes money laundering.

It's much easier to regulate physical casinos to prevent that.
