Guardian hides info on U.K spying

Turns out the Guardian had no problem outing American spying on everyone . When it comes to their own they worked hand in hand with the UK. government to suppress Snowden's info. Even destroying hard drives of info to keep the depth of their own spying secret. Although it seems some of the info may have been leaked by someone from inside the Guardian . Should this person be considered just a whistle blower if this is the case?
