They sucks!

Disney is a booster of teach love must be good looking to children, theme parks are circles keeping to pay money to seeking to stimulate.(But I dislike playing amusement rides). TV shows ,movies and anime always with pointless soft-core pornography ,Mary Sue and violence but their fans worship them as jewelry, that's the "talent" of the director and their fans:reproduction,I think I have to block the word "Game of Thrones" through my browser.Western "civilization" is such unfriendly to asexual person.Since those pop musicians have to no talent ,(maybe they have talent to have sex with sponsors),therefore they only can keep repeating a rhythm in one song, repeating=the basically brainwash method. If you notice the social class of new artists(nearly a decade) parents ,you must found a pattern, really hard to find artists(known) born from working class, that means something limited them appear only in a small group of people(I guess not need me say the reason on this website),such a small population base,no wonder they have no talent. No creative and pointless games made generations and generations ,FPS especially, don't need to change some new codes(Save costs),the game industry told us don't need to underestimate the adaptability of most human accept badly making games.

I'm sorry that you can't seem to find any suitable entertainment.

How about filling some of the spare time with a book? Maybe then you can use your mind while entertaining yourself :-).

On a side note, that OP was kind of hard to read, so maybe reading a book in English would help you with writing in it a bit. I know its not your first language, so don't take this as me being mean.

Try:

TCM --- ( varying old movies; including silent ones )
EWST - ( mostly older westerns )

A couple of things MOST-ALL of these shows have in common:

1. NO Computer-Animation.

2. Many actors came from the OLD-Radio-Shows.
( where using your imagination behind the words was ... the screen )

-
OPINION:

1. The shows on these Channels are Better-Examples-of-Reality than ... Reality.

( i.e. reduce overuse of ... psych-medications )
.

Try getting a group together to learn a role playing game. That way you create the story together so you only end up with things you like! It super fun. I would recommended 13th Age for beginners.

Their parents used television and video games as babysitters and didn't have the time to teach their own children how to entertain themselves... so they live the same way they were taught. If one is not surrounded by some form of entertainment/attention 24/7 then they are lost and have no clue of how to carry on.

Teaching children how to entertain themselves is just as important as teaching them self control IMO. Failing to do either is setting your child up for their own failure down the line.

Not all parents of course. But a damned lot of them, for sure.

- Do jigsaw puzzles(Did so many times ,already tired )
- Learn how to make things from nature(What??)
- Preserve some jams and jellys(Did so many times)
- Dig up some clay mud and sculpt something(No one /place to teach this in here ,HK is place mainly selling gold ,estate and stock,no one care such unprofitable stuff)
- Take up painting(Tried many times ,no talent)
- Make candles(...Have to try this one later)
- Learn knitting(Learned)

- Play an instrument(0 talent)
- Write a novel(dislike...)
- Refurbish old furniture(No one did it here ...people just buy new)
- Bake some cookies(Baked something ...not cookies)
- Draw a picture(Tried many times ,no talent...again)

Reading through your posts in this thread, it seems that you put up a barrier to your own involvement in things due to either fear of failure, or a fear of the potential influences that you will encounter.

For example, you discount a number of Cranial Sponge's suggestions due to "lack of talent".... however, talent is really a product of practice and a strong desire to improve an ability/craft/skill etc, which leads to experimentation and mastering new techniques - driven by personal motivation.

You also discount an entire language's worth of books due to "political correct BS", which is generalising to such an extent that you deny yourself the opportunity to find out for yourself. You are of course mistaken.

My suggestion is that you need to examine your own lack of motivation as well as your unfounded preconceptions, and then you will open your mind and find things that you can engage in.

Or you could just give up and die from boredom and cynicism, which would really suck.

"lack of talent"=Tried ,but can't do it well ,compare with the top 10% people who good at that field in same practice time.

That "political correct"book claim gender differences is woman more peaceful than male ...LOL

I think you have some unfounded preconceptions toward me.

Who cares about the top ten percent? Did you survey them to discover their own progress in a particular art? You do it for your own pleasure, not to be the greatest woodcarver/painter ever.

And so what about the book? You are going to stop reading all English language books now?

Get over yourself.

I think its YOU who is putting out the "conceieved-notions" about yourself. We are only repsonding with preconceived notions because thats what you are putting out. And most of what youve been saying is a cop-out.

Entertainment can be found everywhere with everything in an abdundant amount of ways. Sounds like you are bored in a world with millions of things to occupy your need for "entertainment".

My mum always used to say only boring people get bored. There's so many things you can do to entertain yourself, you just need to make an effort.
So what if everyone there just buys new? It doesn't stop you from refurbishing stuff. So what if you aren't a brilliant painter, if you enjoy doing it keep doing it. And don't give up on reading just because your choices so far have sucked. There's millions of books in the world, they don't all suck. Try a different genre or a different topic. But don't blame everyone else if you're bored, it's what children do.

I was straight up kicked out of house, had the hose turned on for water, and garage opened for baseball equipment and bikes and told come back for dinner

It taught me to do something other than glue myself to the TV. Yeah I still watch but back in the 80's it was all about "go out and do something!"

Admittedly I love my smartpohone but I also love me some outdoor time and creativity

I still thank my parents for that

OP...grow up and grab a hobby...you are right, entertainment today does suck (though admittedly I love the new disney but that's aside the point) but it's on you to switch off and do something else

Like it or not, media gives the people what they want. They could care elss about a handful of individuals who hate things like the Hills or the Real Housewives of blah blah

So do the responsibile thing. Grab a book and consider your OWN meaning instead of just whining about its 'politcal correctness.' There are plenty of books that are really far from shilling and political correctness. Some directly spit into the face of America...try those

Or find a hobby

either way, turn off the television

Sorry to repy to an old post, but I think it's an interesting one.

You can't 'find entertainment' - this is not a problem. It's a feature.

Do you think cavemen had televisions? What about Renaissance people?

What's so good about 'entertainment' anyway? Do we need to remain 'entertained' 24h, so we wouldn't accidentally stop to think and look around, perhaps?

When you wean yourself off a 'screen addiction', you can simply open a window and look out. You can go sit in a forest. You'd be surprised as to how entertaining nature can be, even if seemingly 'nothing happens'. Something is always going on - even if only on a subtle 'energy level', between living entities and nature. There's always energy exchange between entities, nature, people, rocks, trees, clouds - even planets, galaxies, nebulae. There's energy flow between chakras, acupoints, dimensions, planes of existence.

If you just quiet your mind, it doesn't need to be entertained anymore. Have you ever tried meditation? People that are used to constant external stimuli (an illness in itself, but this world doesn't see it that way), find meditation boring and 'nothing is happening', like Michael Palin once said when he tried Zazen for 1 hour or so in his life.

However, when you stop letting your mind control you, but just let your thoughts go, that's when you can be really alive. Each breath is an event, energy flows and you are part of that flow - and eventually, you lose 'self' and can just exist without there being anyone that exist - existence just 'is', and although 'nothing happens', 'existence itself' is more entertaining than the best comedy or movie you've ever seen. It's real. It's constant. It's always fluctuating and changing, always alive. Atoms are always in motion, molecules reacting, spirit, etheric body, chakras, astral body...

'Not being able to be entertained', as I said, is not a bug, it's a feature. It's a good thing, and I say,

CONGRATULATIONS!

People here say 'I'm sorry', but I say, well done! It's a happier thing to live your life than watch actors pretend to live it.
