Extremely political. I'm actually really surprised that nobody has posted this here yet but eh, it's Call of Duty. But yeah, give it a watch. It features Kevin Spacey on a rant about Democracy. I find it really very interesting how some games just really seem to be dishing out a serious political edge that tends to feature the US basically in the throes of (self) destruction.

Enjoy?

No kidding. I am not a huge gamer, but when I do play Ghosts online, the place is FULL of cheaters and NOTHING is done to prevent it. I emptied a mag into an opposing player's head to no effect, then he popped me twice and dropped me. Cheating. It ruins it for everyone.

I am thinking of selling it on craigslist.

No commentary about Spacey's rant in the game trailer? I haven't played CoD since CoD 2. However, the subject matter of this game is a little perturbing, I think, because it seems intensely political. Is it propaganda or are the game makers venting their angst out through their game?

I swore id never play another COD game. Its purely for cheats and noobs, not quite as much for console but on the PC the cheating of off the charts.

COD2 was the last good one i played.

Let me know what the deal is in the game since you're getting it. My understanding is that Spacey's character is the CEO of Atlas, a defense contractor/private military. Really curious about what they're doing with that story.

The problems I have with trailers is there is no game footage.

I don't play games for cinematics, I play them because they are games, not movies. Sure it looks cool, but show me something about THE GAME.

I agree. I absolutely hate long drawn out cinematics in a game. My fiance and I played 52 minutes of Aliens: Colonial Marines before getting fed up because there were cinematics every couple minutes practically. lol don't ever get that one--even if it's super cheap on sale. It'll drive you just as batty as it did us, lol.

However, if I wanted to discuss the history of the Call of Duty franchise and whether game cinematics are annoying, I could've just stuck to youtube. This is ATS and this particular game trailer contains a really harsh message about democracy with a power mad CEO at the helm of something. This is a game that millions of teens are likely to convince their parents to pick up so they can play it. Are you sure the cinematic doesn't matter?

I didn't say it didn't "matter" just that I think they should actually show some game footage.

You're point is valid though.
