Yes I am aware of this. Ken Kesey and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a good example.

However having not seen the film adaptation of Apt Pupil nor read the book I can't state how different or similar they actually are.

Yea right... But out of all the members no one credible has ever come forward with proof of this scary " illuminati". Isn't it far more likely it's a mix of pattern recognition and individuals who put there own spin on the things they create.

If you were a secret society who really wanted to rule/ did rule the world. You wouldn't allow your members to advertise your existance.

Plus historically the only people using secret symbology were those out of power. You used symbols to hide whatever from the establishment. Not the establishment using symbols to tease the masses.

I'm sure there are secret cabals who control OPEC and Monsanto and such. But the thought that they are hiding proof of themselves in Hollywood and television to me is just silly. It's against there best intrest. Yet supposedly the smartest people on the planet are doing it.

They advertise because of arrogance and unity for other members. Explain why on earth they would put the memorial photo of the kid looking through the all-seeing-eye at Sandy Hook.

Why in earth would that be proof of a secret organization running the world is a better question.

I don't know what memorial photo you mean, but I bet if you looked up the person who made it. It would make more sense.

Just looked it up..... It's a kid making a heart over his eye... Prob from a photo of the chase kid the "race for chase" is named after. How is that proof of a secret cabal?

I didn't notice it in the posts. My apologies if I missed it.

Apt Pupil is/was a Stephen King short story. It's in one of his compilations of short stories although I'm not sure which one it was. It's a very good and very disturbing story. One of his best, in my opinion.

Therefore, Singer shouldn't be credited with creating this story. I didn't see the movie and he may have twisted it for his agenda but the main story was already there. Did the movie end with the highway shooting/sniper scenario as the book did?

What fun is it to be a member of a supersecret exclusive group if no one knows you are in it?

Further, might the Illuminati advertise their presence to create the opportunity for debate, confusion, discord and distraction? Instead of organizing to stop the evil the group perpetrates, outsiders waste time, energy, resources and focus debating the presence of the group.

I don't think so, but assuming they did. I think you would advertise in a completely different direction.

Like maybe pretend there was a secret group who ruled the world who worshipped satan and wanted to kill a percent of the population.

When really it's just a bunch of independent oil/pharma/banking barons who want to rob us and keep us docile.

I get confused by this stuff. So the point of a secret society is to be.. ummm secret.. right? Otherwise they would just be like a bowling league or something. So if you are secret, then why would you go and put all these signs out there where people would see them and know who you are?

Seems to me that if their membership can't quite grasp this concept, they would have problems with substantially more challenging concept of total world domination.

You don't rise to the top these days without being controled and that comes in the form of money/greed and a little bit of blackmail thrown in just in case.

What goes on in street gangs also goes on at the top but at the top it might involve commiting a sex act with another man, a goat or a child instead of steeling something or killing someone in a street gang.

I have lots of gay sex and I am not very successful. There is something flawed with some people's reasoning... hahahah

Now that this thread has long since died down, I want to point out that many famous artists are gay or boylovers. From William S. Burroughs to Oscar Wilde... and yes, even Michael Jackson. All of them were treated terribly by society and had to live a deprived and lonely life. I understand that it is illegal and inappropriate for adults to be sexually involved with underage boys, but sometimes the legal age of consent is itself irrational and out of touch with reality. Within reason, I think it should be around age 15 or so. But right now we live in a society where a 15 year old can take a nude selfie and share it with a friend and get busted for manufacturing kiddie porn. So is there any wonder why there are so many sex crimes and alleged sex crimes? With repression like that all kinds of sexual issues are BOUND to result...

Ah, yes - I guess that is very true! In the end, your own life experiences of the things you really wanted to do will be what define a successful life. People that held back will be very disappointed...

I'm sure Bryan Singer was just having some fun - I forgive him. In fact, I openly admit that I would love to attend Hollywood parties like that! hahaha

But anyways, still making my way through the X-Men series to build up to the epic 'Days of Future Past'. I will be seeing it very soon, before it leaves the theaters.
