Ukraine National Elections 2014

The national elections held by the interim / junta government in Ukraine are set to take place on May 25th.

Let's start our pre-election coverage with a statement by a rogue band of cyber warriors:

Putin has said he will honor whatever the results of the election are. I believe he probably will until afterwards when NATO tries to take ground in Ukraine, at that point I predict things will go south in a big hurry. Indeed that may be the flashpoint of WWIII.

Honestly, this prez elections is such a BS sham. Most of ATS members understand that there's only a few U.S. backed candidates that will get the 'nod'.



At this point its only a matter of time before. . . MASS RIOTS happen due to the IMF 'Greece-like depression' sets in & Ukrainians will take to the streets. It'll be interesting how the Right sector & it's Nazional Guard will respond. . .



Just sit back & watch the U.S. backed Ukrainian gov't fall on its own sword. . .

Actually, that quote was taken out of context by some liberal Russian media group and then adopted by the western MSM. While he did say that, he also added that Yanukovich is still the acting president and there should, more relevantly, be a referendum on constitutional change to justify the elections in the first place. Looks like Right Sector is ordered to provide "security" at polling stations in eastern Ukraine.

Confirmation that the electronic voting system was rigged. Ukrainian officials blame it on "criminal negligence" and claim it's all ok, they will count the votes by hand.

So, who here believes this election is legitimate?
