What bugs me about this entire issue, is that everyone...EVERYONE has known for years that the VA is crap. They don't take care of our vets (I know because my brother and step-father are war vets and receive services from the VA) and lack serious funding to take care of the soldiers.

But now all of the sudden it's a big deal!?

Both sides, Dems and Reps, are using this issue for their own political advantage....and that is plain wrong. They are all hypocrites and don't care a damn bit about the soldiers.

Seeing how the VA is and the issues involved it makes one wonder about Obamacare.

They are two completely different matters.

The VA is supposed to take care of our Vets after they have come home from war....payed for and/or subsidized by the US Govt.

Obamacare (ACA) is a fascist piece of legislation that forces you to purchase a corporate insurance policy or pay a fine to the Govt.

Obamacare is not socialized medicine. The case could be made that the VA program is.

Actually they don't lack the funding to deal with the issues. Shinseki was on record for years saying that the VA had the resources needed to accomplish his goals. So apparently there is a mismanagement of the flow of funds to applicable needs.

It's always been a big deal, but I'm sure that this story breaking as Congress gears up for a pivotal election year exacerbates the issue many fold.

Duh. They are politicians. Didn't you know that in Latin, the word poli means "many" and tics are tiny blood sucking creatures? Politics is a well formed word
