I just wonder who the hell as a terrorist would email their friends saying they're going to do something naughty anyway?

Homing pigeons.

And even those little buggers mess up sometimes.

The people who rely on email cannot bring change to this world.

Only people with great spiritual power and strong conviction can bring change.

We live in a very troublesome time on this planet, when evil has upper hand.

However the natural justice strikes every man and every race. There is no escape. The time has come for change of power on this planet.

In any case the NSA can probably break any encryption out there given enough time. If they do have a working quantum computer someplace, virtually any kind of algorithm could be cracked. - See more at: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Nevermind....pretty much it in a nutshell.

To be honest, Snowden's claims can really only be believed if indeed the NSA is already actively using quantum computers. Otherwise, not much chance of them actually categorizing and analyzing the collected metadata. Not to mention the rapid decryption that would be needed to make the data relevant.

It's very doubtful they run around emailing eachother saying what their evil plans are.

I plan on using it because I do a lot of financial stuff on my computer, and I don't want anyone hacking into my email account and getting way too much info. My email has been hacked before, so its always a concern - especially with the financials.

I also like the fact when you send emails they will self destruct in the desired amount of time that you personally set. Say, your email is good for 7 days and no further. I also like that... especially given financials once again. No point in having emails and personal info out there in the ether.

unless you have a privately served email server thats very unlikely unless you send out emails that risk public security they (the NSA) wont be hacking you to get full access to your stuff.

They already have total access to the likes of yahoo, google, msn etc

i guess emails from a private sever to another private server is pretty hard to intercept, but unless you are suspected of somthing or your IPs are related in some way to some bad stuff like pedophile stuff or terrorism they wont be looking at you in the first place.

They dont just hack into everyones email and read their spam.

I finally got in & have mine set up, too. Like OpinionatedB, I plan on using it for bills & purchase related emails. Like Op, I've also had my email hacked a few times in the eons I've had it, and haven't yet found an alternate I was satisfied with enough to use for those kind of emails. We'll see how I like Proton over time.

1. Use PGP to encrypt you message on a computer that is not yours/public/always offline etc... and store on encrypted usb stick.
2.Email pgp encrypted message via secure email for an added layer of security and from another public computer.?

Maybe doing all of the above via email sites registered and logged into with TOR only , would further anonymise you and your message.

I'm just playing James Bond here as I'm no expert but from what I've read around the intermanet from Snowden et al, this seems pretty secure. Any comments?
NOBODY wants to be spied on.

Asians have realized the perils of "Internet" and have built military networks disconnected from public Internet.

Once you are on Internet, it is impossible to fully protect yourself. Internet is the manifestation of Big Brother technology.

However people should also learn to protect electronic equipment from EMPs. It is certain that EMP weapons will be used in next war to destroy adversary's technology. People should build Faraday's cages or build a room of the house with metal shielding in the walls. A room is good if the mobile phone stops working in that room. A mobile phone is a good test to check shielding of a room.

Electronic equipment will be worth a lot after the war, as economy will need computers etc for rebuilding. The factories will be destroyed in the war, and restoring these will take decades.

People should start building enclosures to save their electronic equipment.

That was also initially said about tor and many others.

If your eyes can see it, then how is it hidden? The masters simply take the weakest link, which is your computer, or whatever device you use in order to see.

I am almost certainly speaking in a parable here, which you will have to translate yourself. It most unlikely that anyone would know about the link, short of waking unexpectedly from a dream and snatching a glimpse of what I am hereby referring to. Even then, the concept seems too far out for consideration.

I like to help them out, our hairy assed masters, as a sort of filter. As a treat, I show them things that are beautiful. There are entities who are above our grubby enslavers, and it would be an undeserved honor for our masters to meet with them.

To hear lies is to be oppressed. I hear what I need to hear. Sometimes, I allow the master's (hairy assed) voice to enter my ears. They have no idea where it goes, after this. They would not believe it even if they could conceive of it. They. Cannot. Touch. Her.
