I used to have these on tape many years back and somehow lost them in youthful chaos, and just came across them on YT - These may well be familiar to
any Brits who like me, are somewhat ragged around the edges and dodged a bit of soap in their youth...
But for anyone else, I present to you Chumbawamba in their mid 80's prime and two of the finest protest/agitprop albums i've ever heard. I just
wanted to share them since I found on-line copies.
They really are worth a listen to hear first Live-Aid, Colonialism and "Chariddy"; and then the value of Elections "etc" crapped on from a great
height... full of polemic and with an acidic wit and humour, as well as a wonderful musical arrangement and strut that would surely not be wasted on
the stage.
Do please enjoy, though i guess it ain't for all tastes
