Top of the Pops, 'totp', the most famous music show in Britain for over 40 years, has been axed from BBC1.
The show has ruled the primetime Friday night spot on the channel for decades; but with the ever growing number of 'alternative' music fans, pop just
doesn't make the grade for the population anymore.

The show will move to BBC2 after ratings slumped to less than three million despite a make-or-break revamp last year. The new-look Top of the Pops
will move from Fridays to a Sunday evening slot.

Well I must say, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner; alittle saddened by it though, totp's was like a British institution! But in recent years
the presenting skills have gone down hill, and what the heck happened to the theme tune? Apparently Andy Peter's is the director now (ex. Live and
Kicking presenter).
