North Carolina Members

I hope this is the right forum. I just wanted to see how many ATS members were in North Carolina. I was born and raised here and would be interested to know how many "conspiracy theorist" we have here on this fine forum.

You'll have to keep an eye out for when HomerinNC plans the upcoming Brown mtn lights camping trip coming, I believe, in the fall.

I'm a transplant from Florida... A nice place to be FROM...

Born & Raised in Greensboro, left a couple times, Florida, New York came back to my home. Now I'm out in the sticks in the north east area. And would'nt want it any other way. To coin the old phrase " I like calling North Carolina home".

Madison County. Not raised here, but got here as quick as I could.

I have to ask " you came for a visit and fell in love with North Carolina" I find alot of folks like you. IMHO it's the greatest place on earth. Mountains, Beach's, We got it all.

I love it here. Recently me and my girl were trying to find a new place to live outside the state, but the more we thought about it we kept coming back here. I've lived in Durham, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Boone, Winterville (outside Greenville).. I'm about to go see my dad in Emerald Isle (outerbanks) when it gets a bit warmer. But before that I am going to spend a few days in the mountains, maybe check out Asheville..

Half my family is from the mountains of North Carolina and the other half almost straight from Germany.

There really is no where I would rather be, and I am sure there are even more great places to check out here.

I was born and raised near Fayeteville but am about to move out toward Wilmington. Also, I have an Aunt in Emerald Isle (technically Atlantic Beach but close enough).

Nice to see so many North Carolinians.

I came to western NC to be a raft guide for N.O.C. and felt a deep connection to the area. This county is very rural/agricultural and that makes me feel more at home than I ever have since I left the farm I grew up on. I feel a deep kinship to these salt of the earth type folks and hope that I can grow old and, eventually, die right here in Madison county. (I'm in no hurry BTW)

I have worked here (no longer a raft guide, fun life, but no money in it) in jobs that have allowed me the chance to meet a large portion of the populace and, all in all, there are a great bunch of folks around here. The beauty of the area is like the icing on the cake. The outdoor sports scene here is terrific, with plenty of opportunities for whitewater boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping and more. The eclectic mix brought by the different elements in our local society help to keep one from getting bored with the same old same old, too.

Since 1998 I've really let some roots sink in, got married, bought the house, started a family, opened my own business and continue to try and add value and quality to my adopted home.

Yup, it's a heck of a life and this is a heck of a place.
