I agree that labour caused a mess but as well as reduce spending there is increase revenues via putting policies in place that promote investment, employment and in turn tax revenues it is this second aspect they are ignoring. There are plenty of cuts to be had without going for the jugular of pensioners or the unemployed, what has made our society great is the safety net for the genuinely needy or out of luck Id rather pay 15 percent GST then countenance all this sneaky nasty stuff.

Dont even get me started on the media the local Murdoch rag has had a love affair with Campbell Newman and to a lesser extent Tony Abbot from the day of their appointments, there is no such thing as investigative journalism in Queensland and they have an anti Clive Palmer agenda reminiscant of Pauline Hansen. Our unemployment is the worst in the country our economy is faltering but all you read about are bloody footballers and faux celebrities

The F35 is a lemon we should of bought F22's or the Eurofighter.
I am in Queensland and yes Campbell Newman is a definate example of a politician rising beyond their level of competenence at least Joh as dictator had cranes on the skyline, mining and other industries humming and health and education working this clown with an 80 billion deficit told James Packer he'd have to wait till 2016 to bid for a casino because they are building some other crappy building first so the 4 billion just went to Macau.
Neither state or federal government are promoting an environment to promote business expand the economy and thus tax revenues its just slash and burn razor gangs .
I dont know with electricity and water and other taxes skyrocketing a lot of us may have big enough balls soon, from swelling of them being squeezed with a vice.

You all seem to be discounting the fact that it was Labor under Rudd and Gillard who were haemorrhaging money left right and centre. Who overspent on dud schemes most of which were strong armed through parliament by the Greens.
The Libs are just cleaning up the mess.
