The quote wasn't from you and it wasn't for you.
It is a continuance of racism.
I will let you rest with that one.
I like how you took the nice little 'lines' that do NOT fit into your world. But, I guess my job here is done, because you refuse to mention my whole post which lets me know, It stuck with you and you found it to be true.
Peace and Blessings.

Why can't someone be racist?
The double standard has been used against whites for many years now.
Let me know when that number reaches 200 years.

Why can't someone be racist? It's just their opinion and they have the right, the freedom to think whatever they want.

They can be. They're just going to get a bunch of feedback about it. Freedom goes both ways.

So is THIS a racist statement? Charles Barkley stated 'We are a black league. We are a black league' during a TV interview when asked about the LA Clippers situation. If some people think that the Clippers owner should be punished for making racial remarks in a private conversation ... then what about this very public statement that ignores the 22% of non-black NBA players as well as the non-black owners and workers in the NBA? Is it racist to make the statement 'We are a black league' ... and then double down and say it again? If not ... why not?
Charles Barkley - 'We Are A Black League
Barkley called on NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to “suspend him and fine him immediately,” and made the obvious point that you can’t have a racist owner in a sport where the overwhelming majority of players are black. He said, “We cannot have an owner discriminating against a league that––we’re a black league, Ernie. We are a black league.”
- Barkley said the owner was discriminating against the league. However, there is no evidence of that in this situation. The owner was taped in a private conversation with his ex-girlfriend (who is accused of stealing 2 million $$ from the family).
- 78% of NBA players are black.
There are 28 black NHL players .. but no one goes around on tv saying 'We are a white league. We are a white league'. If they did, they'd be nailed to the floor and stomped on. (and rightfully so).
And why is (Nets owner) Jay Z allowed to be racist against whites and to basically make anti-white statements in public with his bling ... (see the thread here - Jay Z Racism - Does it Matter? but the LA Clippers owner isn't allowed to make racist statements in private conversations?
Double standard? Racism by Charles Barkley and Jay Z?
Or is the Barkley 'we are a black league' statement and the Jay Z anti-white bling just fine?
Side Note - Just the fact that this stuff is in the news when there are real issues to deal with around the world ... I wonder if THAT is the real story here - people getting distracted by alleged racism on the part of a white guy (while ignoring the racism from the black guys) ... distraction from what Russia is doing and what Obama is doing and from the serious issues ... I"m wondering about the distraction aspect of all this nonsense.
We all live in our own world to some extent. I think our world would be a much better one if people quit using race as a divisive thing. That goes for everyone, whether they are black, white, Asian or Hispanic.
I don't understand why you are trying to paint me as a racist when you are the one promulgating racism.

Basketball is a black sport tho... Don't see anything wrong with anybody stating the obvious and being truthful?
I don't know many people with an interest in the sport other than black Americans and some wannabe black teenagers
The Asians love the ping pong
The Indians love the cricket
Although they don't have there roots as a sport in those countries they have embraced it as a national sport or cultural sport

I think it would take heavy manipulation to even bring this to Bundy's level.
Which is think will not happen.
Of course it won't get the same outrage as the Bundy statements. Bundy is white. Barkley is black. So is Jay Z. Neither of them will get 'the scrutiny' by folks for fear of being labeled 'racist' for daring to point out when a black person makes a racist statement.
People are absolutely free to be racist if they want.

I won't listen to Jay Z because he obviously hates white people. But many people do listen to him. Many white people listen to him. The double standard has been used against whites for many years now.
Im glad that you have an issue with the NAACP.

As a white NBA fan, who's watched the sport for a very long time, I have zero problem with what Barkley said. He was being honest and the truth of it is that the NBA is dominated by african-american players. Both by star power and by % in the league. I think people are a little too PC nowadays...
