Atheism = Communism = Evil = Satanism

Communism's mantra is indeed a "God-less" state, where the only "god" for the people Is the State itself.  Communism is Evil, and Evil is the deception of Satanism.

communism and atheism are not the same thing. Why do people keep claiming they are? They arent even related.
This is just getting stupid...

Indeed couldn't agree more , diversity is the spice of life as they say, also
if god or gods do exist then they certainly picked a difficult place for people to worship
think of all the ways humans can die from falling objects to radiation to wild animals
and thats just nature itself.

It is extremely hard for us to survive without us attacking each other as well

Let's clear this up, shall we?

com·mu·nism
ˈkämyəˌnizəm
noun
1.
a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.

a·the·ism
ˈāTHēˌizəm
noun
1.
disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

I'm having some difficulty spotting the synonymity between the two.

Yeah I mean label it however you want to label it lol I really fail to see that much difference, splitting hairs to be honest. I don't think the existence of god is unknowable. There is just no proof of him that I can see and I was brought up in a religion and studied a seperate religion off my own back... Neither had any proof and what I learned of the bible was pretty disgusting... God knows best wasn't cuttin it for me... Oh and of course you can't see him as he's too powerful... uhuh... Too convenient lmao

So I think if he existed it would be provable... It hasn't been proven yet so...

I dunno what label I should stick on my rear and don't really care lol

" I wonder how would you react if your parents try to sign your kids in Sunday school..."

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. As a responsible parent, I'm not going to force my opinion on my kids or voice it all the time so they eventually believe what I believe. I want them to see all sides and make their own educated opinion, why should I deny them that?

Yes, of course. Why let them being brainwashed? Do you like them to believe Santa and rest of the group is real? Did you read Bible or at least pay attention in Sunday school? Do you know what is main moto most of bible stories?

IMHO, my kids don't have to go trough all that just to rediscover something I already know. I rather have kids get a hobby or let my kids watch Cosmos or some other interesting education program. Again, that is just me... my opinion.

Reminds me of recent joke on John Stewart show with Noah story, where someone on Fox iirc said - Noah story that she learned in Sunday school was nothing like movie, it had happy ending?! (they all lived happily ever after - Noah family thanks to God's goodwill) Except that everyone else died...

To the OP. I think your mind is completely shut off to any possibility other than what you and others like you believe. Which, for the most part is judgmental in nature. I just did a quick google search on satanism and I found a link to thesatanictemple.com and the first thing it states is their mission statement which states: "The mission of The Satanic Temple is to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people. In addition, we embrace practical common sense and justice. As Satanists we all should be guided by our conscience to undertake noble pursuits guided by our individual wills. We believe that this is the hope of all mankind and the highest aspiration of humanity.". So, there you have it, satanist don't appear as malevolent as you make them out to be. Also, how could you lump all atheists together? There are different denominations and secs for Christianity and most other religions, so I find it very ignorant and arrogant of you to start a thread bashing all people whom are atheist for no other foreseeable reason than feeding your own ego.

Understandable. I have no qualms and I can deduct what you mean.

As for the rest you did envoke the burden of proof by saying "there isn't evidence he doesn't exist"... Which is a non-sense anyway as you can't have proof something doesn't exist... And it's not the atheists job to provide proof anyway

Nobody said that Atheists have to prove that there is no god. They do that to themselves.

I'm not sure what the cherry picking of scientists means? What does it have to do with anything?

You brought up the idea of truth. I was making a point that the truths, (or proofs) used by Atheists are derived from the work of agnostics, yet the agnostics do not involve themselves in petty religious debates.

It seems you're trying to label me something I am not?
I really couldn't care less what people beleive as long as it doesn't affect me and mine, why would I?

Yes. As I said before- you need to check definitions. You seem to have labeled yourself as an atheist- but is this really the right label that you want for yourself?

As Krazysh0t reiterated

Agnostic atheism, also called atheistic agnosticism, is a philosophical position that encompasses both atheism and agnosticism. Agnostic atheists are atheistic because they do not hold a belief in the existence of any deity and agnostic because they claim that the existence of a deity is either unknowable in principle or currently unknown in fact. The agnostic atheist may be contrasted with the agnostic theist, who believes that one or more deities exist but claims that the existence or nonexistence of such is unknown or cannot be known

And here is a prime example of the problem. You dont agree with atheists, so they are foolish and should change...

Actually you are replying to something that was being quoted from what I said earlier. Meee32 is having trouble navigating ATS on his phone and as such the text is out of context...

Atheism is a cover for faithful people too. Intelligence is important and you know how crazy the world is with this big game to sucker in the losers and everything.

Well as I've said I'm not really too bothered by a label and I feel the label is splitting hairs anyway. There was another definition of atheist posted and it listed not believing in god. So atheist it is as I do not believe in god... You can call me agnostic atheist if you like though.

And okay I see your point of agnostics not arguing though I bet my last penny they do! Lol

I like to have debate, I enjoy it. We're all here for a chat and a debate. I don't like the word argue, debates can get heated.

I am live and let live though, I think people have the right to believe what they want to.

Fair enough, and apologies to Meee32.

So, then, do you care to comment on the narcissistic, self-righteous attitude that I pointed out?

"my kids don't have to go trough all that just to rediscover something I already know."

Take notice of the "I already know" part. That's why if they want to go, that's fine by me, I'll even take them. Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree usually, when I left church on Sundays I always felt like I was nothing but a piece of garbage that was evil and could never do right, no matter how hard I tried until I stepped back and realized they were wrong, and I am right as long as I feel I'm doing good toward others and not condemning their beliefs.

We celebrate christmas, why wouldn't we? Don't your kids get presents at christmas too?
It was fun telling them about Santa, and watching how excited they were with the story that somebody snuck in the house and left them all these cool things. Why should I deny them that? We put lots of colorful lights up, and try to out-do the neighbors usually every year. It's for the kids, and it's about family as far as I'm concerned.

The easter bunny visited this year too, and we all (mom and me too) dress up for Halloween) I just don't personally need organized religion, or the thought of a supreme being to get through life. Some might, I personally don't and if it makes them feel better about themselves then great.

If one of my kids invites us over for dinner and wants to say grace, I bow my head and let them say grace -I don't have an issue with it.

If there is a moment of silence, I take it.

If someone says a prayer, I respectfully let them do it and say Amen to go with the flow, why shouldn't I? They are free to do whatever they want and most of them know I don't believe in it anyway, but I'm not a sh-starter either.

If one of my kids wants to be a priest or a minister, I have no issue with it.

If one of them ended up gay, I wouldn't care either.

I was baptised and so were they. I say so what?? It's just part of life that we have to learn to deal with and be tolerant of. If you always go through life picking on the ugly kid, you're pretty shallow until one day you realize they made it further than you did.

If they ask me what I think I will tell them the truth, that I'm proud of them. You can guide them only so far, but sometimes you have to let them figure things out for themselves. If I tell them what to believe, they will only regret me for my personal issues later in life. That's not what I want. If they ask me what do I think about religion, I tell them gently without bias, BOTH sides meaning that some believe we came from god, I've even read them some bible stories growing up because a couple of them have some good moral-and I always remember to say, but please don't take MY word for it, I want you to form your own opinion, because it is a very personal one that only YOU can decide. And I encourage them to investigate things on their own such as going to Sunday school etc.

I have a neighbor that picks their nose all time, I think it's gross but if it makes them feel good to dig it all the time-as long as they don't touch anything of mine-so be it. Why do I need to tell them how to live? They have a mom already...

No problem i'm glad you took time to look a little deeper. Thank You :-) Your right Halloween is often referred to as Satanic but those are references made by man as is atheists are satanic and communists that are being slung around in this thread.

This thread originally started based on one persons opinion. Numerous Atheist ATSer's chimed in with well thought out and researched replies debunking the claims made and here we still are. Mud's being slung, people are getting put down. Why because this person's religion is not your religion and your religion says it's wrong. No!

Christianity is not the first religion, is not the only religion and it won't be the last. You know if Jesus hadn't risen from his grave he'd be rolling in it right now with some of the behavior because its not very Christian.

Spiritual journey/enlightenment is individual. No where does it say you have to congregate together or give to the coffers. That is man made. The relationship one has with god/or with out is individual and God was ok with that last time i was at church and reading from the bible.

In my household there are five of us with 3 different religions. My husband is atheist, I am very eclectic. I adhere to no labels but have a very strong faith in my beliefs and our children are Christians who do go to church. We wanted our children to make an educated decision, so they attended various churches and their functions before they decided.

Were all just people no matter the religion, color, sex etc...no better or worse. Maybe instead of putting down someones religion it's time to agree to disagree. Because the person your looking down your nose upon because of their religion just might teach you something new or save your life, or a lived one's, one day.

You can't just backtrack? Very well.... It started with Meee32 seeming to misunderstand a similarity between religion and atheism in terms of operation/organisation. The part you decided to latch onto was a retort a supremacy mindset of atheists vs religion without consideration of any viability outside of an agenda orientated goal. ie Atheism is a lack of belief in god, yet seem think the denial of gods existence is not mutually exclusive in their lack of belief.

For sure and it would be boring if we all agreed all the time lol

But I still disagree that atheism is anything like a religion, some atheists can be "religious" about it, in the sense that they "religiously"watch football... But I don't think many atheists do this. And it doesn't make atheism a religion in any way. Just as football is not a religion.

But yeah I understand the argument I just ain't buyin it lol XD

You're right. Atheism is not a religion. I didn't lay claim that it was.
I like your football analogy. It's like how there are fans of Justin Bieber who call themselves beliebers. They worship him. That doesn't make him a god.

^unrelated, but I thought it was amusing.

Lmao beliebers is new to me as well, I think I may have done with it and become one of them... I will argue with you that he is my god and try to make everyone worship him too lmao... What do beleibers belieb exactly? Lol

EDIT... OMG... You know I work in the cryptocoin industry and a beibercoin would sell like bloomin hot cakes! Any developers in here want to get rich? Lmao XD

I believe some atheist are Satanist

Can you indicate that you you know anything about Satanism?

Do you believe some so called Christians or Muslims or Jews or Hindus or Buddhists are also Satanists?

Don't say your an Atheist but worship the Pentagram and the Devil.

Who says and does that?

Can you show one example or this concept simply in your head?
