It appears these people may be heading for a civil war.Nearly 150 years later and there's still bad feelings about our civil war.
When pro Russian forces are mainly Russian citizens / Russian military forces, how does one arrive at the term civil war? A civil war is an internal conflict. This conflict in Ukraine is not internal, it has Russian military forces involved. Putin stated this on tv. The green guys in Crimea with no insignias were Russian military units. We see the same units in the south and east of Ukraine.
that's not a civil war...
that's an invasion of a sovereign nation by another.

it's not an "invasion of a sovereign nation by another", when said nation was INVITED (probably more like begged), to come in and help stop a REVOLT, by the legal, LEGITIMATE head of state of that nation. a revolt that was backed by thewestern nations, something that has become all too common of late.

At no point was anything "illegal" and Yukanovich ceased to be the "legitimate" Head of State when he abandoned his position to avoid criminal charges.

Let's just clear this up shall we - prior to Yukanovich running to Russia, he was impeached not once, but twice by the elected Parliament of the Ukraine and they voted to remove him from office on the 22nd Feb. Rather than face his accusers, the guy did a runner, leaving the nation without an executive. The Parliament then swore in a new, interim President as per the constitution of that nation.
