DIY aircraft

i got bord one day so i deceded to design a airoplane but my amagination got the better of me and now i am designing a a plane with video cameras and can travel large distances, but i have no idea how to make such a thing and with what.

does anyone know anything that could help me.

any usefull links or ideas.

Any designs drawn?
What kinds cameras on board?
Define long distance?

If this thing is supposed to 'fly', I would suggest getting a college level book on aeronautical engineering. You need to understand things like coefficients of lift, drag, center of gravity, balance, angle of attack, i.e. You could copy the characteristics of an existing plane if you had some engineering data. You could even go the Wright Brothers route and build your own wind tunnel. There may even be something online that talks about various airfoil designs and how to go about making something that will actually work.

Does anybody know if you can get or make an RC Vulcan? Are there plans available or would I have to start from scratch?

Hi mate,heres a bit of advice,
ive built a few radio control vehicles,get some serious,honest advice from some one at your local model store and tell them what application you want to use it for.....start off with a nice cheap kit with an electric motor and work your way up....lol,dont do what i did and spend a year building a very beautiful vought corsair and crash it into a tree because you think you know what your doing....its very,very upseting and totally non repairble (usually) With an aircraft over a certain size you should have no probs with fitting a camera....i also think theres a vulcan kit availble with jet engines but dont undertake this as a first project dude youll kick yourself!!! JET RC's are dangerous things in beginners hands!!

............lol,this happened to me with not 1!! but 2!!!radio control boats.....perhaps my brother encountred the local boating lakes equivalent of the bermuda triangle?...lol
