For most of the recent past, U.S. forces and forces armed and trained by the United States have regularly and violently intervened in the affairs of Latin American countries, establishing brutal autocracies to prevent the expansion of Communism. The ends may have justified the means in some cases, but certainly not in all.

While you can criticize US foreign policy with iraq or afghanistan or whatever... come on man... with such close neighbors like that, I cant really blame them. Can you imagine any European country with neighbors like that? Yea you cant... you know why? Because they would have been "taken care of" during our famous "middle ages" lol
Most of south american countries should actually thank the US... thank they allow them to exist for instance.

I do not know if peope know it but, their was this little thing called the Cold War. Where the West the USSR competed against each other across the planet. So if you want to make a map of interventions by the US in Latin America over the last 50 years then the only way to put it into context and make it a fair evauation would be to include Soviet and Soviet allies interventions the region as well.

Of course who wants context or an honest debate on history when you can just smear one side.

Have you read that list?
Are you saying it's all bad?

USSR no longer exists. US still does and continues to intervene all across the globe including Ukraine. But hey, sure...we can't wait for you to post your small "fair" map. Lol. Get to work, buddy.

Is everything below the US South America? Here's a primer: Mexico is North America. The strip of land below Mexico is Central America. The sub-continent below that strip of land is South America. It's about time to educate ourselves, people.
