NATO Says Russia Is Ready to Strike Ukraine

NATO officers on Thursday distributed satellite images of makeshift Russian military bases along the Ukraine border, saying that Russian troops there could attack within hours of an order. Via The Foreign Bureau, WSJ's global news update.

While it's clear in the images that Russia has built up it's presence in the makeshift base areas, I feel like it's done more so as a deterrent to NATO forces to escalate things further. It seems that NATO is beating the war drums in order to gain support for a clash with the Russian forces in the event this does escalate.

By the looks of it however...Russia's build up and arrangement seems like an easy target at this point if NATO chose to strike via the sky.

If what you posted is correct, it's exactly what it seems. NATO is simply using rehashed images and information to gain support for an unnecessary escalation.

ETA: You're right - the entire situation seems contrived at best. Scripted like much of the other news of recent times.
