Discussing blowing up M1 tanks, might be considered an act of unamerican and unpatriottic behaviour, but it's more challenging to try defeat a very hard target than to discuss how to kill soft targets with american cluster bombs...

And there was only one instance of an Abrams having it's turret blown off. When it drove over a mine with sufficient power to blow the turret off. Even then, the commander survived. The reason it was not mentioned in the report was because it happened after that report was written,
