You're clever! People need to see that free will leads for all bad things to happen, not God, she just observes our creations

It won't be Islam that fills the void. Throughout history religions have come and gone and its looking like it's Christianity's time to go.Islam's time too. The new religion will be, is science. The new miracles will come out of a laboratory not a church. Where moral fiber will come from in the future I don't know. I hope that we really have a better nature and a world that feeds and heals itself brings that nature out. The moral questions were always answered by the church in the past.

Religion has very high morals and standards if one can apply them to their lifestyle and it's not just limited to Christianity either. As for science, religion does shed some light on certain things. Here's one example and remember, not long ago people thought they were going to fall off the edge of the Earth.

Have you not known, have you not heard? Has it not been told from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the Earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the Earth, and it's inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in (Isaiah 40:21-22)

Maybe people misunderstood Isaiah calling earth a circle! That's a 2 dimensional shape so its easy to imagine it that way! Which is why Isaiah probably reached more people with his smile than his words.

I don't doubt that such a being could do such a thing, but, considering the size and complexity of the universe, I think that it is extremely vain to think that such a being would care about our petty little squabbles.

We are a relatively primitive, violent species on one small planet around a normal star in a normal galaxy in a universe of trillions of galaxies. When a thousand worlds potentially die every day and a million stars are born the next, I feel like God has more important things on his/her/its/their plate than us.

God takes sides?

I ask the same thing when I see teams pray before a game. Is that fair?

That doesn't matter if you are praying to the wrong God

But seriously, what you are saying is pretty much what the OP is about.

You could pray to an image of a monkey and it will be received by God, for you and God are never apart.

Nope, If you are praying to an image of a monkey you are worshipping that monkey.. God isn't a monkey but the creator of the monkey.

God takes the sides of the righteous because that's what religion is all about and if we were to compare between the USA and Russia going by deeds through religious teachings, Russia are miles ahead. It's unfortunate but it's most likely the truth.

The reason US is screwed is the ego demonic parasitic banking system that have been created in the west to feed a few feudal lords that hides themselves behind corporation to not show how insanely much they have stolen in Ponzi schemes at the expense on all others and people starving in Africa. Do not matter if they call them selves Jews or Christians. They are demons in their works. Lost fallen ones.

You seem to misunderstand! Praying with an image in mind and saying things doesn't mean your saying things to that image! I'm just saying the Christian God that is jealous and angry may not exist, but God hears the prayers of the Christians

I would have thought that God hears all prayers, and I betcha he's had to listen to a great deal of prayers from Monkeys too.... especially when they see our lot coming.

Well there's many ways to pray, I'd like to imagine animals are thinking in constant prayer like I am. Or constant meditation if you prefer, enjoying every moment to the full. The feel of my fingers to my phone, the music that comes through my ears, the love that flows from me into everything else, every breath I take, every smile I break, I'm appreciating it all.

If you're praying to an image of Jesus, you're praying to a monkey, well, giant ape actually!

There are rules to how life is classified. The simplest of these rules is that classifications start broad and become progressively narrower. It never works in reverse. What this means is that once a life form is classified as an animal, everything single life form that descends from it will also be an animal. Therefore everything descended from a mammal will be a mammal. Everything descended from a primate will be a primate. Everything descended from an ape will be an ape. Now, orangutans are classified as apes. So are gorillas and chimpanzees. Of this group, gorillas and chimpanzees share a more recent common ancestor with each other than they do with orangutans, and therefore they share more common characteristics, but they're all still apes. Consider now that humans and chimps share an even more recent common ancestor with one another than chimps and gorillas share. This means that every taxonomic characteristic shared by chimps and gorillas is also shared by humans. Since gorillas and chimps share the characteristic of being apes, so too must humans. There is no way for descendants of apes to stop being apes. So yes, humans are in fact apes.

Well, don't you just have the time of it

I tell you what, never mind Putin, come down here and give me a hand with my lot, four smelly individuals, permanently at home, with challenging behaviour etc, it'll put a whole new meaning to the phrase, " every breath I take"
Yep I love every minute of it.

Well if you're asking me to act like a parent I could try haha, I am only 19 though!

Your outside circumstances don't determine how you feel, you choose to let those circumstances affect you! To be fair, in order to experience relaxation you have to experience stress!

Worshipping, monkeys, worshipping humans is the same thing. Some believe Jesus was the son of God with divine power, other's a mere messenger or prophet. When it comes down to it though, any worship of an image or person or animal or object is against the teachings of religion.

A definition of an Idol

1. a material object, esp a carved image, that is worshipped as a god
2. Christianity, Judaism any being (other than the one God) to which divine honour is paid
3. a person who is revered, admired, or highly loved

Funny how the messenger of Christianity falls into the above yet it's the greatest sin in religion..

That's because the messenger was right and the religion was wrong, there is no sin to be sinned.

Take a look at he state of the world today and tell me everything is fine and dandy? That's a result of Godlessness.

Only if they are praying for victory. I see nothing wrong with praying for God to see you through or help you find your best effort. As an athlete, I always prayed for God to do both, after all, if I was defeated at my best, my opponent truly earned their victory and should feel proud of it as I shouldn't feel bad about the loss, and if I won at my best, then I know I truly earned the win because I gave it my all.

As far as I am concerned that is not asking God to take sides at all; he could similarly bless each athlete in the race.
