LOL!! Nope, I clasped my hands without thinking, and it was the right thumb on top.

But then again, I don't have that palmaris longus thing, either.

Well, I'm Rhesus A Negative, and I have a double Palmaris Longus it seems. Both my wrists have two of the tendons, where some folks may just have one, none, or a mix.

I don't think the lack thereof relates to blood type, but I do think the percentages are coincidental, but of no relation.

You're either seeing the palmaris longus and another tendon or two other tendons and no palmaris longus, depending on their alignment. Thanks for the comments

I am AB neg.

BELIEVERpriest
There are a number of ways that the Rhesus factor can manifest in a person: -/-, -/+, +/+, +/-. If their was a connection between rh negativity and the absence of this wrist muscle, I would expect it to be most prevalent in rh -/- people. That is the rares combination.

Yeah that can happen someone else mentioned it too, maybe having something to do with this^

Aside from the possibility of having no Palmaris Longus, it is also possible to have two on one or both wrists. I've done the Palmaris Longus test many times enough to know this.

I'm O rh neg... I have the tendon in my left but not the right
... I'd call that an indecisive result
plus I have no preferences to either left or right I am ambidextrous.

Once I saw the video I was able to see what you were talking about. In my case I am A RH positive and when I did the exercise I had it very pronounced on my left wrist and much less pronounced on my right. I am right handed and wondered why my right hand would be so less pronounced. Interesting!

I'm Rh- and I do not have the muscle. I have had lousy grip my whole life, can't open jars. My husband is Rh- and he does have the muscle.

I am Rh- and I am not seeing I have that muscle
I even did a search on line to see photos so I knew what I was looking for. Not seeing it. Ok well we already knew I was different...

Why does everyone know?! Hahaha

I bet it's on a piece of paper somewhere, but off the top of my head. Nothing.

Im O negative. Looks like I do have it which is disappointing because I thought this might explain why I really struggle opening bottles.
