Just saw this now. Could this be a direct result from all the activity on the U.S west coast and would this quell any potential danger for California?
Either way this is devastating for Chile, they've endured so much already over the last couple of years.
My thoughts are with all those affected.

If tsunami waves impact hawaii their estimated earliest arrival

Further statements will be issued hourly or sooner as conditions
Warrant until the threat to hawaii has passed.
