Just saw this now. Could this be a direct result from all the activity on the U.S west coast and would this quell any potential danger for California?
Either way this is devastating for Chile, they've endured so much already over the last couple of years.
My thoughts are with all those affected.

Hawaii could be elevated to a watch or warning status.

If tsunami waves impact hawaii their estimated earliest arrival

Further statements will be issued hourly or sooner as conditions
Warrant until the threat to hawaii has passed.

TrueAmerican's thread is covering this too, he predicted this occurring and has been following it for a couple of weeks now, with updates and predictions.

USGS has it classified as an 8.2M.

I agree with you , this same thing happen to me , i broke the body suspension story and someone els,decided to make it "breaking news" even though it was not breaking news... Guess what happen to,my,thread ;-)

I seen our friend TrueAmerican actually predicting something like what just happened on March the 16th. His prediction was for Peru AND Chile but it still appears that he was correct. He even spoke of a possible tsunami occurring as well. Great job TrueAmerican!

Indeed... You're right. I've had a few people tell me they watch the BAN forum as a specific and individual one, separate from the rest.

I listen to this every morning and I thought it has some great incites on the EQ
