Any nurses or nursing students here?

Hey!

I'm 20 years old and I'm FIRST year Nursing Student in Poland in my hometown.

Now, in the second semester I have to learn some heavy stuff like pharmacology, dieseses and their symptoms and pathology and much more.

I can do hypodermic and intradermal injection.

Of course I would like to develop my knowledge in English too, not only in Polish, so I started to looking for some interesting videos on you tube.

In my opinion the best are:

The world needs people like you. Try maybe somehow to get a year or 2 experience or education in the US someday! You can learn a lot here!.

Hey I am a Nurse any advice you would like just ask.

I would say a good copy of the Royal Marsden Nursing book is a good start so is Koziers Fundamentals of Nursing: Concepts, processes and practice I can't really remember what other core texts i used. I do think that you are better to go with the journals over the books though because you can get more focused and contemporary evidence to underpin your practice.

It kind of depends though on what it is you want to learn my areas of interest have always been acute nursing care so much of my reading has been around that.

then it also depends on how nursing in Poland differs from nursing in Scotland.

Sure. My love is really medical triage. I love assessing injuries (hopefully in under 60 seconds during emergencies(* Im very good at that!)

Emergency Medical Tech (ambulance-emergency-trauma rooms)

Advanced Disaster Life Support- search and rescue in disaster response

Emergency Response Team member-1st responder to emergencies-medical and otherwise
for FEMA and Homeland Security

Im also an Emergency Dispatcher for a large auto company.

New to me starting next week to add to my weekly work schedule- I start Dispatching in Emergencies at the local Fermi Nuclear Reactor Plant in Monroe Michigan

Hi Annie: I should have been a doctor. My father was a pharmacist...and always said I shouldve been. Another time where parent were right!
