Clearly the Celts were around long before the 6th century BCE, as I said Celts are basically Scythian s who traveled to north Europe, The swords used by proto-celts (hallstatt culture) who lived near the black sea are identical to those in Dublin museum.



Whilst red hair can be found in various places around the world you will find it has its highest frequency among Scots and Irish as the map above shows.

I would also argue that wherever in the world you find red hair you will probably find some Celtic past influence also.
