The list of "conspiring" groups is long and distinguished.

There is, IMO, a massive distinction between "elitists" and conspiracy groups.

Do the elitists conspire? Yep. It falls under the label of "politics", in my book. Just look at the politics within the companies most of us work for! Man is a social animal. His social disease is politics. They seem to go hand in hand.

Going to the generally accepted banker conspiracies, many probably valid, when it all started, who forced whom? The bankers or the Kings/rulers?

Ask any "prepper", is having food stored any good if you don't have weapons to defend that food? Someone will take it from you if you aren't armed.

That analogy fits just as well with the "bankers"/money men back in the day. They had the money, the "kings" had the "guns".(swords, etc.). It's just as plausible that the "lead or silver" option obliged banker co-operation with those "kings".

"Give me the funds or I'll run your family through and seize your assets in the name of the Crown." Co-operate and you'll make money, don't co-operate and you'll face the consequences.....

(I'm touching on subjects here lightly in an attempt to provide an overview of the current mess. So dump on me as you will.)

Fast forward to the present. We have many, many more elitists now than back in the "banker's" day. Political elitist, Greens, Socialists, yes, one worlders, financial, religious, dictators and other world leaders, mutual fund types, currency traders, mega corporations, military leaders...the list expands almost daily.

They are NOT monolithic. They are at cross-purposes. It has brought this planet to a near grid-lock.

To the one worlders, there are more countries than ever, not less. The so-called great democracies are failing, weakening. The new quasi-dictators are thriving and attempting to expand as we speak. The American "experiment" is near collapse. The European Union is holding together with spit and twine.

To the economic conspiracy types, do you rally think that collapse is the goal? This mess has been ready for collapse for years! It is being held together with desperate moves as those so-called conspirators stand to lose virtually all the "own" in a collapse. One small push and down it all comes. Any one of them could have done that by now. They haven't! They continue propping it all up!

The trend seems to be multiple nations with expanding powers for the new "empires". Back to the "old days". LOL. Not a one world scenario whatsoever.

Generally, the democracies are failing. The Dictators are expanding. (I refer to Russia and China in this). India I don't know enough about to really label them...

My point is, it's not some lock-step world-yes, conspiracies do exist and are occurring, but for individual gain, not as a grand scheme. Each at odds with others.

Even the "oil industry" is a generality. One firm's loss is another's gain, oil vs natural gas vs coal vs fracking vs bio-diesel/gasohol. Railroads vs pipelines and all the secondary industries connected....

No grand schemes, at least that are working, just myopic self-interest by a growing number of "elitists"....

This is just my view of it. I'm certainly not well educated nor smart. Does this view make any sense or should I go on meds..

When 40% of the worlds economies is controlled by an interlocking consortium of corporations....im afraid the analogy you present is slightly skewed......
Not that I disagree entirely with your estimate, just that there ARE forces which are capable of acting in concert even when they appear to be separate entities.....
Witness the Seven Sisters oil cartel etc...
Banks are also intertwined like a ball of snakes.....

Actually, I don't disagree with you. My stressing of this aspect is to point out there is far, far more complexities to this mess than cubby-holing it all is some vast, world-wide conspiracy.(Not that there isn't those so inclined, just that it MAY not be working like they'd like.

EG. Your "40%" control of the world economies. it omits the other 60 %. That is over half.

"Old Money" is now far outweighed by the new money. (Again, not that the old money crowd doesn't have an undue amount of influence, just not the control that is generally believed leaves out these new guys.). Many new factors/influences that wasn't there even a few years ago.

Take oil. I met the chap who represented the "oil industry" in setting up law suits against states and the federal gov't in Alaska. In a brief, yet, informative chat, he stated "the oil industry wasn't monolithic". He went on to cite various eg.s.

I won't go into the details, but it opened a door into an understanding of the complexities. There are 3000 oil companies in Texas. It would be hard to name any that wouldn't jump on a opportunity to move up the food-chain...any opportunity, at all...

An analogy would be Ford Vs G.M. vs Toyota, et al, and glibly label them the "auto-industry". a grouping that is both true and false. They are, in fact, very serious competitors.

Again, I don't discount influences/conspiracies. I'm pointing out this mechanism applies right across the board. It "may" all add up to the grid-lock we now enjoy.

Eustace Mullin's conclusion after spending his life studying the topic tells a different story.

He said that all conspiracies are connected and that there is only ONE single super-conspiracy that ties all the other conspiracy theories together.

I have come to the same conclusion as have many others as well...

"After forty years of patient study of the crises which faces humanity, I arrived at a very simple conclusion-all conspiracies are Satanic! " ~ Eustace Mullins

"In fact, I point out that all the conspiracies in history - especially during the last 5000 years - are actually different aspects of the same conspiracy. Some people fixed on one aspect of the conspiracy, and say this is the problem, others say another thing, but the thing is all the conspirators work together. All the conspirators are part of the same operation. And this is what people find very reluctant." ~ Eustace Mullins

Hey, he may very well be right. I put this out as an idea. As I said before, I'm no rocket scientist. LOL.

This chap, when did he write this book? I believe that this may have been true. Even up til recently, yet it remains there are many more people out there who have virtual elitist power than ever before and that will change the dynamics of it all dramatically.

That's my main point, I guess.

Frankly, I never have believed that this much complexity could be controlled by a single group. Too many random events beyond individual control, in my estimation.

At least, not any control on this earth....
