Please cut all enclosed loop packaging (plastic and other types) before throwing in the garbage.

As a kid they told us to cut our 6-pack rings.

I actually cut out each individual ring to make 6 rings because I didn't understand.

How will i ever catch bigfoot if i cut the loops first

that's too bad...I think the other more important issue is throw the items away in the appropriate locations...hard for this stuff to get out of landfill and end up in the ocean...

When I went on vacation at Hollywood Beach, there was this afternoon where we found plastic bags coming our way, filled with bloodied bandages and needles... We went to do other stuff the rest of the week.

But I always wondered how could these be found on a public beach...

PS: We were swimming when the bags came our way...

I am in waste management right now, you would be surprised how much stuff you put into recycling actually ends up in landfill. If it takes a person more than 3-5 seconds to untangle something or clean stuck on debris like food particles, it is most definitely going into the trash. Shipping trash/rubbish over water to other locations is one of the cheapest methods when there are no nearby landfills.

They can also be dangerous for land animals and birds (many of whom frequent land fills), not just sea creatures. It's easy enough to snip them for good measure

Wont stop them from eating it, maybe plastic itself is the problem.


What does it matter how much we cut it up when it still ends up in the ocean choking it.

Just thinking out loud, don't be offended.
