I was noodling with the Andaman Islands theory and decided to check-out landing options. They don't have runways designed for commercial jetliners but check out the post on one of the airport's sites:

I have a hard time believing it's in the water, anywhere. Even with Google Earth I can look down on my place and see distinct differences between my 71 GMC, my lawn mower, and my wife's Volvo, and they are much smaller than a plane. Military satellite technology can allow them to see damn liscence plates. I'm sure they would have seen a debris field on the water by now.

Mate, you cant make an airliner invisible like that, it would have to have a complete redesign. As far as I know, there is no way you can make Pulse Doppler pings, not hit a solid object, skew it, make it appear smaller, sure, with the right amount of conveying edges to bounce it off and around (see image). Not an airliner of that nature, not with the technology that the 'average' government body has. That said, if it was one of the Domino crew, then there would have to be a very good reason to carry out such an operation. 'That said' also, how do we know the cost/delivery to make such a project tick. With a near limitless budget, who knows. I still think there would have to be a fantastic reason for one of the shady lot to take an interest in the plane, the crew. or its cargo.

The difference is that you know where to find that GMC to be able zoom in and see it. You can do it in a matter of seconds. The ocean is a pretty big place and finding what you're looking for isn't so easy if you don't known the coordinates.

Former AirForce Guy on FoxNews, just said he think this was a hijacking, and he believes it was landed in Pakistan or Eastern Iran.
If they got that plane that far off course that would be pretty damn crazy accomplishment.
On one hand I hope it did land somewhere, but I'm scared for what would happen to those passengers after it landed.
I'm wondering what is up with the Chinese, and these false leads. First the satellite pictures that seem to have been nothing and they later claimed were released by mistake, ( I'm wondering what that object was personally). Then the Seismic activity they claimed to have detected that has turned out to be nothing.
Edit: Malaysia Government official is saying it was Hijacked.
