That's indeed plausible.

The man is looking at the object (plane) many miles away. if it is going down it is difficult to know if it is toward or away if the angle is fairly steep.

Read about Airline Pilot's Bruce Cathie's theory about Energy Grid that could explain how Flight MH370 vanished:
bizjetway.blogspot.co.uk...

Ominous coincidence...

Why because that line between those two particular points happen to be parallel to the equator? Or because on same longitude?

I don't see the ominous coincidence since the 2nd jet hasn't been found

For all we know at this point, the plane could have been drifting in and then out and back into a dimensional warp. It is said happened before.

Like a Bermuda Triangle theory?

Highly doubt it...

Why not? It's a possibility, so it should be addressed.

Show me evidence of planes disappearing over that area and maybe I will consider it a theory...*cough*

So you want "evidence" from the very same people who, withhold truths, lie, purposefully deceive and mislead, manufacture false flags,
Etc? Good luck getting anywhere trying to find
The truth in a closeminded fashion, by relying
On the "evidence" from the very people who
Manufacture lies. Anything is possible at this
Very point.

How would you be able to recognize whether a plane is burning from 50-70km (!!) away? (UNLESS it has a giant, unusual smoke trail).
I could even see that an observer might think a plane is "burning" but merely reflecting the sun.

Not to say this report is bogus/fake...but it's a witness who (again) "sees something" and it might not be actually what's happening but merely personal, subjective interpretation of what is seen.

Easy.,,, no way to see smoke or shining by the sun, because it was 2 am in the night!

If it was hijacked for future use by a terrorist organization those 2 destinations are perfect to hide the plane in.

A 777 with 230ish passengers would be ALL THE WAY DOWN on my list of things I'd seek to hide and sneak around the world with : )

IF we assume the theory that the plane was indeed hijacked and is now hidden it must've been a very, very elaborate plan knowing exactly how and where to fly to circumvent radar etc...and even then it would be VERY, VERY difficult to simply "hide" a 777 let alone use it later for some form of attack. Heck, it's a 777!!! You don't use a 777 and "sneak" into a country for some form of attack...unless you're really out of your mind. IMHO.

If Google sees that the email account was just setup and used for a message or two it will most likely be a hoax. The internet is the home of hoaxes.

Also the rig in question could verify to authorities.

During press conference, Military confirm the presence of an Unidetified Flying Object above the Strait of Mallacca right in that period of time, but they don't know what it was....

I am usually not one bringing in the more bizarre theories...but just want to mention that I read up a little on air crashes the last days. One famous crash, I think it was 1999 where an Egyptian pilot allegedly committed suicide. While the Western report concluded it was suicide, the Egyptians actually refused this explanation and in their report actually mention an "object" and a possible collission, and they also hint that the US is withholding this information. Just saying since reading this kind-of puzzled me. (Not that I believe the Egyptian report but just found this worth mentioning)

Ok let me look that up quick...

From the ECAA report:
""
3. Investigators cannot rule out the possibility that the RFO may have taken emergency action to avoid a collision with an unknown object. Although plausible, this theory cannot be tested because the United States has refused to release certain radar calibration and test data that are necessary to evaluate various unidentified radar returns in the vicinity of Flight 990.
""

Interesting, hu?

Yeap, you are right....being a Pilot myself i can put it into a merely 1300 mts dirty ol' runway or even less applying full brakes...but taking off there again its another total dif. story

Hm, "the timing was right" being the only mention of a time in that letter doesn't give it much weight IMO. You would at least give a rough estimated time of your own sighting so it could be verified against other possibilities, not just say "the timing was right". Daft.

I watched the radar video on youtube that shows the strange activity of other planes. I also saw the email by the oil rig worker. Both of those I find extremely compelling. It seems they are being dismissed, especially in the msm but here, too. I'm not near a tv so I'm relying on internet news but it seems that "normally" (hard to use that word in this situation, but ...) these things would be splashed all over everything. I only saw one msm reference to the oil rig -- actually just a tweet! -- and none about the radar. What am I missing? Admittedly, I didn't slog through every page here nor can I, but have they been debunked?

yes because you have to be very sane to fly a 767 and a 757 into the WTC in bright daytime.

Sneaking the 777 into a country like Yemen or Somalia is not totally out of the realm of possibility especially looking at the map and the path it could have taken based on the info of it changing direction going south west. Straight south of Indonesia across the Indian Ocean. No need to cross any country's airspace. Just an 8 hr flight, at night, flying low to evade radar and you're there. I'm not saying its not crazy but its certainly not impossible.

The fact that the transponder was turned off is surely the strongest indication yet that the mystery is down to deliberate human agency.

But who knows? I once flew to Australia with the same airline (actually stopping off overnight in KL) and...well, let's just say the experience didn't exactly inspire me with confidence that aviation is the safest form of transport.
