OP, may I have permission to use the images you posted so that I can post them on my Facebook wall? U think they are a great illustration and may help to open some of my friend's eyes.

If its posted on the internet its up for grabs. ( Unless they trademark or copyright it with the insignia) You can post it if you would like to with no drawbacks I believe. No need to ask for permission from someone even for posting to facebook. Now.... claiming you created or taking recognition upon it is another thing....

Best be safe to reference the original poster / creator.

Claiming its yours is a no no
Making money off of it is a no no
Using it to advertise (even free stuff) is a no no

Agreed. And there are watermarks on some photos that are very hard to see, used to protect copyrights.
