Looked like fun before you signed up but man is it tough.

Or rather than a prison we are a farm planet where various 'beings' harvest our energies through emotion and spirituality/praying.

So each religion was set up as a means to easily harvest this energy which would also explain why each god tends to be so jealous and incites their 'sheep' to destroy or convert others to increase their % of the harvest from this planet.

Which high security mental institution would you be referring to? Have you ever been inside one? I have, and it's nothing like you describe. Perhaps a supermax prison, but not a high security mental institution.

It's as good of a theory as any I suppose. But, what about children? I mean, if we were being imprisoned here why imprison the innocent? Unless.......it's a genetic defunck in our version of us that causes this madness and we were quarantined to keep that gene from spreading and this isn't a prison at all. It's an asylum.

Speaking as a former nihilistic atheist...Indeed there are entities that have hijacked our religious tendencies and patterns (which are simply our instincts to find a way out) for selfish gain. However, there are true paths to real escape. They typically don't appear on Ellen or Dr. Oz and they don't always organize large scale. True paths may develop into large scale but are usually undermined from the inside and broken up just like a prison riot.

If you are a seeker and have the karma to find a true path then it is a gift and a curse. Intellectually, you slowly begin to realize what 'god' is but then you can't help strive to become it because you also realize that this is a prison and you want out and you now know a way out. A true path is not easy to follow or stick with and can take many lifetimes. Discouragement is the most effective guard!

People have escaped and they come back to guide others. They usually don't advertise the real thing with neon signs and best seller books because, just like in a prison, you don't tell the guards you are here to help people get out! You might lay low and only take on a few followers so as not to create too much attention. Some of the guards might infiltrate as greed and power and undermine the guide or group from the inside, counter ops. It's dangerous for guides if they are not completely pure and can't maneuver all the obstacles well.

This a perilous place designed to keep inmates in, not to encourage escape. An apparent way out may lead right back in! Of course, if you don't really truly want to leave, then you won't. When the student is ready...
