Avatar Crucifix in my baked potato! Before surgery + more. Palestinian nurse, Christian patient.

Update: Cardiac Surgery last Wed. Successful at 71.

Backstory:
In ambulance Feb 9,th on way to Trauma, had small stroke/AFIB.

Praying with my rosary...I got to a room with a very nice nurse. "My name is Madonna". I damn near went out the rest of the way! As in "Blessed Virgin Mother" she said!

Got #24 box of rosaries...started leaving them, where I feel the need to whomever around town... not saying anything. Heart surgery scheduled for May 8. Cut open a baked potato the night before..and...2 crosses (my Avatar).. in the damned potato!!!

Going down hall last Wed, this Palestinian nurse said "I see you brought prayer book (Psalms)". "God is good you know!" I said.

She reached in, pulled out her own prayer beads (Muslim) to show. I gave her mine "I want to to have this, even tho Christian". She looked stunned, hugged me, began crying...."Oh how wonderful! Thank you!"

Right before I went under...she came back with her own set of Muslim prayer beads.and gave them to me. " God bless you! Now we family..brother and sister for life!"

See my brothers and sisters? It should be this way. But, this was not the end. More crosses in potatoes, Madonna nurses, Muslim prayer beads...

But, this...farther down this thread.

Don't want to ruin your experience...The cross definitely comes from the fork used to take the potato out of the baking tray in the kitchen.

It wasn't a fork, but a skinny knife to establish doneness. Once. Certainly not again and across! Baffling, still.

I'm not Christian, but my GF hung one on the rearview mirror of my car the day I brought it home, and it's still there 8 years later.

I had baked potato last night.
With butter and bacon.
Along with buttered broccoli
and rib eye steak cooked medium.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
We went out for Mothers Day.

As far as I know, nothing was in the potato
except the butter and bacon.
(and it didn't last long .. YUM!)

Well, some few of us believe in a slap of butter first, a dollop of sour cream next, then a sprinkling of grated cheese with a dusting of pepper. But to each his own.

I woke up in the hospital...giant male nurse over me. He moved aside and POOF! A small Nigerian Catholic Priest smiling like sunbeams popped up outta nowhere too.

Thnx for that Mr. G! I don't know why I'm still alive....VAX, boosted, stroke, TIA, throat surg, stomach, heart beats n drumrolls...fell off a house in 84 broke my spine, neck, legs...etc...

I outlived every man in my family by years. God if I know why......

But I'm rehearsing a new band...still ...71. Performing Summer Fests, Dream Cruise, some others here in the D.

Can't wait! God is Sooooo Good! Rock on.
